Works fine and allows me to swap 2.5” hard drives quickly.I use it with my Xbox series S and PC.Transfer speeds are decent. (Obviously only non-Series S/X will play directly from an external drive - to play S/X games you would have to copy them directly to the console first.

So there I sat, mid-lockdown clutching multiple old hard drives, longing for the day I could view the long forgotten treasures locked inside the black little devils. Just as the cremation fire was reaching HDD melting temps, I happened across this little cabled beauty. Once ordered, I doused the flames and awaited the rewards promised by the little black boxes of knowledge.Sure enough, once the cable arrived, I plugged the HDD's in via USB and after changing some folder/file permissions, extracted the memories I cherished.Turns out they were all pretty rubbish and it made me realise my long held memories were of someone else's life, from off of tv. Seriously depressed, I smashed the HDD's up and burnt everything I owned. That'll teach my brain to trick me with false recollections.But anyway, yeah the cable worked a treat, was very easy to use and I can't complain about the price.

I just used this to clone a full 180GB SSD to a 500GB SSD in a little under 12 minutes.17GB per minute over USB3 - result - going to keep this one for future use.Very good value, worked reliably

Not much to say, plug, play, it works.If you're getting this for a single board computer though I'd urge you to reconsider. This cable carries the power and the data. I tried it with my raspberry pi 4 using a 6 amp power supply (just to see if it works) and it wouldn't power the drive.You can't blame the cable for that, most sbc's just won't send that much power down the line. Get a cradle instead, one with it's own power supply.

I needed a swift easy solution to enable me to clone my new SATA SSD from my old drive inside my PC. The dongle plugged securely into the new drive’s power and data sockets, and my PC’s USB 3.0 port. In Windows I enabled the new drive in Disk Management, and once done I was able to use the Samsung software supplied with my new SSD to transfer my OS and files. This item made the whole process much simpler - highly recommended.
