Sitting Strong: Wrestling with the Ornery God As a Mother who has experienced the death of two young, adult sons, I found this book to be a source of comfort and empowerment. I would recommend it to any individual who has suffered great tragedy, and has made the decision to continue to live a full and rewarding life. The book is Christian in genre but definitely not "preachy". Ms Miley does not presume to tell you how to endure your own Job experience, however; she shares what has been helpful to her and others.Although she describes tragic events, they are cushioned with her own brand of humor. I am a psychotherapist and have recommended this book as well as given it as a gift.

Jeanie Miley knows about wrestling with the ornery God. This book certainly shows depth far more perceptive than most books of its genre. It was a compelling read for me. The book of Job is a difficult subject for many to understand but Mrs. Miley's treatise is well defined and gives the reader cognitive measures of its premises.
