The Guardian

Don't bother to read
Not a very good sequel to The Sentinel. That book had a solid storyline behind it but The Guardian jumps around and feels jerky in style and story telling. Definitely needed a better editor.

Read the Sentinel
This book leaves logic in the rear view. The plot twists are weaponized and over used. Just when you think the author has found his feet you are taken down another garden path. The Sentinel towers above most all other horror novels, much to bad the author failed to outline this work. The real fault lies with his editors.

A awesome sequel
Some sequels aren't as good as the original story, but this one is . There are some surprising twists and turns that really added to the storyline.

A letdown
I was excited to see a sequel. I was disappointed. The story gave some back history to the characters but I lost track of who was who. I found the first book to be homophobic. In this book he seems to be more comfortable with gay men and transgendered women but portrays it as shocking. Perhaps it was the year it was written or reflects his own biases.

Awesome read ...lots of twists
Sincerely hope the author gets his third book done to complete this unique and scary trilogy. I read this book as a teen and loved rereading it. Def worth the purchase!
