Good design, could do away with silly slide straps in front for something tougher
We only had to use these for our 2 and 4 year old for about 2 days of skiing the beginner zone before they went off leash. Their primary value is keeping your child from flying down slope and into others, trees, and structures. They don't do well with forcing the kid to turn, but our kids weren't too interested in that as much as they were learning to stop by themselves. We still use the harness on the little one as it serves as a good place to grab and pull her up when she falls, and there is a strap across the back that sticks through the rear of the chair lift we can reach around behind and hold to securely on the lift. My only complaint is they used the little sliding clip across the chest, and that is not very strong and will pop off if you have to haul the little one up off the snow. It's tough to do, on a slope, with gloves, and skis on, the harness should be a bit more bomb proof to aid in that. I'd recommend these for beginners for sure, but combine them with those little toe ties for skis which force the "pizza slice" for best results.

Great for xc skiing!
My four year old happily completed a 6 mile xc ski with the rest of the family using this harness. There is still plenty of room for her to grow into this as well, even over her snowsuit. We attached the looped end of the towing rope to the waist belt of a backpack using a carabiner and off we went.

Forget the leashes and other gadgets, teach your kids how to ski
As skiing leashes go, this product is of very good quality. However, while using this product on a ski trip in Colorado I realized that my money would be better put toward skiing lessons for my child. The leash was awkward to use and only worked well when my child skied straight downhill with me snowplowing behind him. My legs got tired pretty fast and he hated wearing the harness. And then it dawned on me, "why not just let him learn to how to ski on his own so I don't need this silly leash". After only two skiing lessons he was able to ski down a 3.5 mile green slope all by himself, snowplowing and turning the whole way. Of course, two skiing lesson cost much more than this leash but now my child knows how to ski properly and he is filled with confidence. My advice: forget all the skiing gadgets. If you really want your kids to enjoy skiing, invest in skiing lessons, it's worth it. Also, teach them to ski while they are young and fearless.

Teaching a 6yr old to shred!
Our daughter is getting better and this gives us the ability to have a little space, but still control of her. Also some nice handles and places to safely grab and hold on to. Very happy with this purchase.

Best Harness for 2 yr old
This was the perfect harness for my 2 year old. He wanted to go fast down the hill. This harness allows his "independence" while being tethered to someone who can control his speed.

Good harness for a 3 year old
This is my first ski harness I have used to help me teach my oldest daughter to ski and while I have not used others I'm very happy with this item. It fits my 3 year old well over her ski clothes with some room to grow. It seems to be made well with good materials. The possition of the handle and straps is well thought out for going down hill. My only complaint is that it does not convert easily to pull her up the hill/from the front. In the front/pulling orientation it also didn't work well for my daughter but we are both learning how this works, so there maybe a learning curve.

Great product for little learners
We love this harness for our son!! It is so easy to control his movements and help him learn how to turn and stop. Our son is 2 1/2 and is snowboarding with the harness.
