Pfaltzgraff, Winterberry 14-Inch Rectangular Baker Stoneware in a Gift Box

I have owned Pfaltzgraff stoneware in several patterns and must say that Winterberry is my very favorite. This is the perfect dinnerware for all occasions during the Winter season. I recently added this rectangular baker to my collection and am very pleased with it. One of the wonderful things about the stoneware is that you can bake and serve in the same dish. This is a tremendous advantage during busy holidays. Although this baker is somewhat smaller than a Pyrex baker it still has a multitude of uses both for everyday casseroles and bring-a-dish sides that you may want to share. The Winterberry pattern is crisp and beautiful on the white background. Since Pfaltzgraff has moved their manufacturing of stoneware to China, in the past years the early Chinese pieces were quite sub-quality to the previously USA made ones. No so, now. Although there is a slight difference in the white background glaze, the USA items being somewhat creamier and the Chinese pieces being a bit more grayish, at a glance it is difficult to notice. The green around the edge of all the Winterberry pieces is also a deeper shade in the Chinese pieces than the lighter, slightly more teal shade on the USA pieces and this piece is no exception. All in all I am very happy with this baker and it is a nice addition to my collection. However, if you have older USA manufactured Winterberry pieces and want to add this baker, you should be aware that it is made in China and color variations are noticable on close examination.Happy Holidays to everyone!Jan

Lovely dish. I have been buying this for my niece for several years and she loves them all. The pattern is so nice for winter in New England. I have started buying her the serving pcs, etc since she has all the basics.

we have the winterberry pattern and entertain a lot over the holidays. Saw this casserole and it is listed as a 9X13 inch which is standard, but in fact it is only 7.5X12. It is still a nice casserole but just smaller so may need two.

We have a collector of this pattern in the family. This was a hard to find item and made a nice addition for Christmas. Very convenient.

Nice quality, but smaller than most 9x13s.

This is advertised as a 9-inch-by-13-inch but is in actual fact 8X11 so was very disappointed as I specifically needed a 9x13

Beautiful piece, at the holidays and now for all winter use.
