HUMPHREY Egg Slicer Whale by OTOTO

This little whale is very cute. If I had to have something that I need to use, I like purchasing an item that makes me happy to look at/use when I bring it out. It definitely makes me happy to see the little whale sitting on the counter. Using it was a little bit of a different story. It may work better if you make hard boiled eggs. Anything softer, I tend to make my eggs a medium yolk, it is harder to push the eggs through. The wires are not either thick enough or not tight enough for medium or softer eggs b/c the egg will flatten and break as it passes through. I would consider this to be user error had I not had a progressive egg slicer which was able to process the same type of eggs which makes me think that this is a fixable option. It is really cute though, and it still made me happy as I used it even when I had to use my hand to push it through.

I gave it 2 stars because its adorable and I liked that whatever i sliced wasnt going to fly everywhere. That said, it only lasted for 5 uses, very disappointing. Two of the strings came loose (did not snap) and now it just shreds everything. This cost more than others, so I had higher hopes.

Wires to cut egg broke within 2 weeks of using. Maybe used 4-5 times and then all wires got tangled and broke. Cool idea but now can’t use.

I love Humphrey! He performs his job without complaint and makes me smile every time I use him. I love that the head is a little cup to tump the egg into after slicing so you don't have to bare hand handle it after slicing. My other slicers don't do that. Clever design, quality no less than any other egg slicer, and it's fun. Why not enjoy life while we can?!

Ich hatte mich für diesen Eierschneider entschieden, weil er echt niedlich ist. Leider ist die Konstruktion so einfach, dass er mittlerweile auseinander gefallen ist. Alles ist nur gesteckt, die Drähte nur um den Rahmen gewickelt - nichts geklebt oder genietet. Habe ihn im Februar gekauft, seither vielleicht 4x benutzt, und nun ist er kaputt und nicht mehr zu gebrauchen. Sehr schade!

Der Eierschneider überzeugt mit witzigen Design. Allerdings sind die Schneidedrähte so locker, dass wir ihn vorm Ausprobieren wieder zurückschicken werden. Macht keinen stabilen Eindruck. Leider 😕

Er ist hübsch und erfüllt seinen Zweck

Wir hatten uns so auf den Eierschneider gefreut. Und wir konnten ihn tatsächlich einmal benutzen. Dann löste sich der mangelhaft gespannte und ebenso gesicherte Draht. Leider unterm Strich nur teuerer Plastikmüll.
