Clover Leather Thimble 612 set of 2

Excellent thimble for those who need to have the tip of their finger exposed for better control of the needle. I looked for something like this for cross-stitching for a long time and was thrilled when I found this and it worked perfectly! I sewed the leather ends a little tighter for a snugger fit so it was nice to be able to adjust the thimble's fit to my needs.DISCLAIMER: There were several reviews that stated the package came with 3 thimbles, not 2 as the listing claimed so I have to admit I was disappointed when I only got a package of 2 after everyone else received 3 thimbles instead. I just thought I'd mention the fact that the reviewers that got 3 vs. those of us that got 2 probably just got lucky so don't expect to receive 3 just in case.

Two thimbles came in my package. I have really skinny fingers so it was just a tad too large for my thumb. However, I was able to take some yarn and knot it around the string portion to make the leather circumference smaller (it also helps make the end knot larger so that I'm not so concerned the original knot will slip through the leather hole. I would definitely buy these again. I liked these more than Clover's other leather thimble that fully covers the finger.

I have an older version that I absolutely love! So I purchased these to supplement one’s I’ve misplaced. These are flimsy compared to the 15 yo version. But they still get the job done. The thread holding them together also broke (knot popped out of hole) the second time I use it, an easy repair but something to note. I’m ordering another set to experiment with different size/placements for my stitching practice.

These thimbles arrived super fast. They are very comfortable and easy to use. I have read numerous times there should be three in the package. Mine only contained the two pictured. So I don't know a out that. I am glad I bought them and will definitely buy another set. I sew a lot by hand and these really fit well with the the motions my hands want to make naturally while sewing.

Absolutely worthless, broke on first use and managed to lose it. I threw the other one away. Wast of time and money.

Not worth the $. Knot in Thread slipped undone at 3rd use. Too small to re-tie. Wouldn’t recommend.

These are so much more comfortable to use than a traditional thimble. They are very flexible and the top is open so you can still use your fingertip if needed on the project you're working with. They are great for sewing lightweight to medium weight fabrics, but with very heavy fabrics, I've had the back of the needle punch right through. Definitely recommend it for smaller jobs but for very heavy duty jobs, you probably want to go with something a little more durable. Overall a great product if used for the correct applications.

These thimbles are *unusable* out of the package. The plastic piece is PAINFUL. At least it's removable, otherwise these would go straight in the trash. Unfortunately, even with the plastic piece off, the thimble is ENORMOUS (literally way too big even for my husband's thumb). I had to use an awl and mat to pierce new holes to tighten it enough so that it won't fall off but that leaves a huge tab of the extra material on the back which is really annoying.Even if all that wasn't the case, the band isn't wide enough and the leather is too thin and slippery to be practical for hand sewing. It's painful to push the eye of a needle. Very disappointed, I trusted the Clover brand more than this.

Soft, adjustable, perfect!

I would have preferred the working area to have been a bit bigger.

product advertises set of 3 but only 2 come in the pkg pic is correct the description is wrong.

The thimbles are very rigid and one broke the first time I tried to put it on. Would suggest looking for alternatives.

One of the two included thimbles arrived damaged in the packaging, with the band unthreaded. It is not a returnable item, so I'm out-of-pocket on a defective product. Reading through reviews I see I'm not the only one who this has happened to.Highly suggested to look for a different product instead of this one.
