Amazon Basics Thermo-insulating Blackout Curtain, 1 Piece, 135 x 244 cm (WxL), Brown

Great value, gives a real blackout. These curtains have three differently-sized sleeves for rods of different thicknesses. Along one edge there are a small and medium-sized sleeve, and along the other a large one. I have a thick curtain rod and didn't realise this at first. After trying to feed the rod into the "medium" sleeve of the first curtain I was fortunate enough to drop it. When I picked it up I git it the other way round and was pleasantly surprised to see a large sleeve into which the thick rod easily fitted.When I first hung the curtains there were fold marks from where it was packed, but after a couple of days hanging these have almost gone.

I first ordered these  Deconovo Super Soft Solid Thermal Insulated Eyelet Curtains Ready Made Blackout Curtains for Livingroom Including Two Matching Ties 46 x 54 Inch Two Panels Greyish White  curtains, and when they arrived I was very disappointed in the quality. I returned them immediately.Then I found these AmazonBasics Blackout curtains. They not only cost less, but were miles ahead of the Deconovo in terms of quality and blackout functionality. For the price, the AmazonBasics impressed me very much. Already ordered another set.

Bought these for my little girls bedroom for her midday naps. Just the stuff I needed, hung them up on a extending tension rod inside the window recess - perfect blackout result.

Absolutely love these!They arrived on time and undamaged.I live in an old terraced house, and it’s my first home. So keep costs down I brought one to separate the living room and dining room as a lot of the heat escapes in the dining room. Worked a treat and was brilliant quality- way better than I was expecting for £15 odd. I liked them that much that I actually brought some for my dining room window, as it’s quite tall and normal ‘window’ curtains cost a fortune for the size I needed, so I figured why not try these as they were the right size and colour. Absolutely perfect.We now have privacy, no drafts and my colour scheme is slowly coming together.Would definitely recommend

Good quality for a cheap curtain set, but agree with some other reviewers, don’t gather well or slide very easily on the poles leaving them looking a tad messy, but I’m sure with some tweaking this will sort itself out. However, a good curtain which is blackout in the sense of not letting light through the curtain but obviously not blackout in leaving a dark room; which it would never do being on a pole. See my picture to understand that of course light comes in around the curtain pole, you’d have to mount the pole so much higher on the wall to minimise light coming in over the top. I had bought two sets but may return one yet as not quite what I had hoped...

As a previous reviewer said, these can be a little stiff to pull across as the the pole is fed through them (I ordered them not looking at the description properly thinking they were pencil pleat curtains. However Luckily I do have poles, which I just took the ring hooks off. These are quality black out curtains, and in fact we find our bedroom so dark at night time we cannot see a thing!! Good quality curtains that are definitely black out and are of thick material, so I would think they have an element of being thermal! Very happy

They're made of thick and quality material. It does blackout the light as intended.However, if you prefer a smoother movement when pulling the curtains back and forth, then go for curtains that run on hooks. These AmazonBasics curtains can be stiff to move on the railings - as they are fed through the top of the curtain material. I've bought an alternative because of this, but kept the Amazon ones for upstairs where the curtains and rarely moved.

Oh my god, these are amazing! I live in a one bedroom with a floor length window in my living area, which is great for letting natural light; however, the wall adjoining my kitchen/living area and bedroom is not fully closed letting in lots of light to my bedroom which is very annoying in the spring/summer months when it gets light early. Hung these curtains up with a shower curtain rod and it has made a world of difference!! They block the light VERY well! They aren’t the most stylish but who cares when they work so well. I’ve yet to see how they are for temperature control but based on the light blocking alone these are amazing!
