for the collector
I bought this piece for the collectibility value and that is it. I like the predator line and like collecting all of the pieces that I can afford. It is inexpensive enough that I can usually buy two giving one to either of my sons so I can get it out of the package and have an excuse to play with it. It is very articulated and it has with stood heavy play by my three boys ages 4-8. It can only take so much and usually starts losing its hands and feet first. I have no doubt that this toy can be used as a durable toy but not for heavy play. Like I said, I primarly bought it for the asthetics. It is very detailed and only comes with two pieces that you can interacti with like the disk and the javelin. I do miss the shoulder cannons and I do wish they would come with more weapons or little pieces in the package. It almost seems that the last two series of predators have been very boring and almost the same other than a brush stroke here and a brush stroke there. These are different in that there sculpt is atleast a little different and they are starting to put more weapons on them. I feel there is alot of creativity being left out. Different armor and paint schemes would be great. Different weapons and a little more written on the back of the card explaining the origins of each creature or somthing original to that particular predator. Obviously there is no educational value but it is plenty durable and detailed. I really enjoy the predator figures and I think any one planning on keeping them in a box or show casing them will be plenty satisfied. The price is sure reasonable enough and believe they are worth more than what you can get them at the store for. They certainly cannot be compared to the Hot Toys models but they are plenty detailed enough. I do believe they are more durable than the Hot Toys and certainly much less expensive. If you are a predator fan you will definatly be pleased with this purchase.

Neca Predator 2: Lost Predator
I will start off saying that this figure is simply amazing. The fine details and mixture of colors just forces you to keep looking at it. Of course the main color is green but there are little red details throughout the body. And there is an almost yellow paint that is used on some parts of the body. The armor on the Lost Predator is possibly the coolest looking armor in the entire line of figures. With a mixture of blues, blacks, and purples the armor really stands out. The machete that comes with the figure is very nice as well. It is a little difficult to get into the hand, but looks great once it is. The package lists other another weapon, the throwing disc, but Neca decided to just go with the machete.Articulation--Ball jointed neck-Ball hinged shoulders-Hinged elbows-Elbow swivel-Ball Jointed wrists-Waist swivel-Ball jointed hips-Hip swivel-Double Jointed knees-Ball jointed anklesAs you can see, this figure has a TON of articulation, allowing for some pretty great posing. I just can't put the figure down. The elbows are just a little hindered by the wires on the wrist gauntlets but not anything big. If you love Predators than you must have this figure.

Well...nice paint.
I don't collect figures, but after getting the Neca "chair suit" engineer on a whim, I was so impressed that I ordered this one to decorate the other side of my computer desk. To be clear, the engineer figure is a work of art.The Good: The paint is well done, and not quite as "loud" as it looks in some of the pictures. The Bad: Everything else. The waist joint is very loose and offset, so the figure has a hard time standing and appears to have severe hip dysplasia. Due to this disability, the loincloth tends to ride up around his mid waist giving him the impression of being the nerd predator who has been the victim of a savage wedgie given by a gang of "cool predators". The poor fashion sense look is bolstered by the fact that his armor is badly warped on one side and sticks out like a half tucked in shirt. The double jointed knees are double fused solid, and I guess the floppy ankles are an attempt to overcompensate. The shoulders kind of move a bit, and I mean no offense when I say this Predator is exceedingly limp wristed. The sword might possibly be made to fit in the sheath or his hand, but only if I break it in half and glue it back in place. It's just an all around tragic mess.In short, DO NOT THROW YOUR MONEY AWAY ON THIS THING! I literally opened it fifteen minutes ago, and it's already been tossed into a box of antiquated spare computer parts in my closet. I'm sure it will still be in there when the day eventually comes that I clean out some of my old junk, and chuck it in the dumpster.

Great colors and awesome predator
My only gripe is that his left hand is not properly fitted in the wrist. Not that it is broken, but I can see the peg the hand is attached to way too much. Thankfully the hand is not broken and still moves as it is supposed to. Ah, since I do not intend to sell this one anyway, may glue it at some point, if it comes to that.Still would recommend this one to any Predator lover out there.
