Little Critter: Merry Christmas, Little Critter!: A Christmas Holiday Lift-the-Flap Book for Kids

Loved these books as a child and happy to read them now to my children. This book arrived earlier than I thought it would, just in time for Christmas.

Mercer Meyer is a great writer. All of his books should be in your child’s book collection.

This is a good book for all ages

Great little book! My 6yr old loved getting it for Christmas. Very happy addition to our little monster collection.

Bought gently used, I figured this would have slight curling on the edges or something. Nope, pretty good condition. But there is a giant name in permanent marker across the front... I kind of wish they had mentioned that specifically since its so glaring. Obviously it doesn't impede reading the book, and my 2 year old could care less since he loves the Critter books, I guess that's what you get when you purchase used. Also wish it had specified that this is one of the Critter books with the extra fold outs of the pages, I'm not a fan of the book style. That is the real reason my review is 4 stars. Condition is fine, but there wasn't a solid enough description of the product itself.

I got this for my daughter as one of her new books for the holiday season. She gets one or two new ones each year. She is a HUGE fan of Mercer Mayer and so this was a natural choice. The story is short enough to let her sit through the whole thing, and is engaging, and very sweet.Little Critter's family is celebrating Christmas - they are busy doing many of the traditional things that families do at Christmas - Baking cookies together, decorating the tree, writing a letter to Santa, and going shopping for Christmas presents.It is a lift-the-flap book - which engages the child reader as they need to lift the flap on each page to finish out the action on each 2 page spread. The flaps are pretty sturdy too - which is good if your child is a little too rough on their books!Another great selection from Mercer Mayer featuring that adorable Little Critter!!!

The Little Critter has always been a favorite with me. I remember reading them with my 27 year old daughter when she was young. My husband just found her books down the basement and brought them up for me. There was "Just for You" and "Me and My Day." I am delighted to have another Little Critter book. I bought this one for a youth book club I am starting. Of course we will read this book in December. I'm sure the children will enjoy the book as much as my daughter enjoyed them. I also look forward to reading this book to my grand child. I highly recommend the Little Critter books and I plan to buy more of them.

I read all the Little Critter books when I was a kid and have now turned my three-year-old daughter on to them. This was a special treat for the Christmas season and she was not disappointed. Her favourite part is when the sled crashes into the pigs - hilarious! She likes to lift the flaps to see what comes next. Great book, I just wish Mercer Mayer had included a page on leaving cookies and milk out for Santa!

I love these books and when I seen they had the Christmas one, I knew I needed to get it for my kids. It's a Christmas favourite!

Anything Mercer Meyer is a favourite in our house! My kids love the pictures in his books. They're so fun and keep them interested.

For whatever reason, these newer little critter books just are not the same as the older ones.I mean, its okay, but it feels like this book was thrown together by someone who is not very experienced in children's books and other mercer mayer classics
