Some nice features, not the chair for me
First off, I paid full price for my Eurotech Seating 4x4 Multi function Chair and paid for it myself. Now that's out of the way, let's talk about the chair and why I'm sending it back.First the pros. The arm rests are wonderfully adjustable - height and width - and the material your arms rest on is very nice. It's firm but also flexible, and seems to be some kind of rubberlike material, not upholstery, which I really liked. Next, the chair had no odor of any kind - I've got chairs that had such strong chemical smells they gave me headaches. Not this chair. No smells. I have a hardwood floor, and the wheels roll smoothly and easily. Put it on a chair mat for a little more control. For me - and you may feel differently - the chair is going back for a couple reasons beyond a non-functioning lever and the boxing and related issues I'll get to in a minute. First, the back tilts forward but not back. You can tilt the seat AND back back, but then the seat points upward and may press into your thighs - it sure presses into mine. And that means you can't lean back to relax, and besides, the seat back presses into my back even when I sit forward. Second, while the seat is nicely padded, part of it pushes into some of my bones that sit on it causing quite a bit of pain rather quickly. I've owned 8 desk chairs since 1996 and used a few more, and not one of them every hurt to sit in in this way but this chair, and the pain shoots down my legs beside hurting my hips and butt.My experience with the packaging may not be typical, but it's worth mentioning. First, part of the damage could have occurred during delivery, but a huge part of the box had been torn up and patched with tape and a piece of what looked to me like another box from the same company. And the chair was filthy, too, with dust and some kind of grimy dirt. It easily cleaned off, but wtf?Amazon is arranging a UPS pickup for the chair and will accept the chair in the box in its dismal condition (there's a large unpatched hole, among other things, that we'll tape like crazy). Finally, everyone is different, and some may find this chair very comfortable, but for me the adjustments weren't enough to make this chair even marginally comfortable. Your mileage may vary.

Perfect arm rest width for a wider person!
Although the chair seems very well made, I'm on the fence about its comfort. Sitting at my computer and within an hour my back end was hurting. Also there isn't any lumbar support at all - in fact, the back tilts in such a way that it's closest to my neck and farthest away from my lower back. I've ordered a lumbar cushion and I hope it works. The seat seems to have more cushion than other office chairs I've had, but still my butt hurts. I'm a well-padded person - maybe the chair is not padded enough to be comfy for 200 pounds of weight. The bright spot is the arms - this is the first office chair I ever sat in where the arm rests are actually under my arms, and not under my armpits! This is the reason I chose this chair, and on that point, it was a home run. I'm hoping a back cushion and a chair cushion will solve the other issues for me.The adjustments all seem to work - it tilts, the back can be tilting or solid in place. the chair goes up and down. It doesn't let me adjust the seat depth, which may be why lumbar support is an issue. I'm not sure, but I think there's a lever for that which isn't working. Anyway - I know there's a lever that wiggles back and forth but doesn't do anything - maybe its supposed to be the depth control.

Great Manufacturer Response
This chair arrived in a horribly mistreated box, but this was not the fault of the maker. Unfortunately, some of the hardware was missing, due to mishandling, but when I contacted the manufacturer, they quickly sent out replacement parts. Maybe it's due to my ineptitude, but the seat seems to angle forward, which makes me feel like I'm going to slide out of it. Not sure how to adjust the chair to fix this. Otherwise, overall I'm satisfied with this purchase.

Probably the best chair I found under $500 after weeks of research
I went through 3-4 weeks of research and three chairs before I found this one. Very, very solid construction, good support, seems like it will hold up. I've spent 8+ hours in this chair, it feels great. Does not recline very far back, but I don't generally nap at my desk. 10/10 would recommend if what you're after is a sturdy chair that will hold up for a while and won't break the bank (or your back.)
