Blades
Steel is getting cheaper all the time can't do much about that. Buttercup blades are the best I have found.

The answer for our Golden Doodle
Tried others and this is the ticket. Keep oiled and clean. Have it professionally sharpened when needed.

I Love Buttercut!
I have been grooming my Bernedoodle for over a year and tried many blades. This is the best! It goes through the fur "like a hot knife through butter". Highly recommend. You will not be disappointed.

High Quality/Very sharp/fits my Andis clipper
Bought this brand as an alternative to buying yet another Andis blade (I own an andis dog clipper); hoping it would fit the Andis clipper. Have one thing to say: ***if you're used to Andis blades, pls be very careful with this Geib blade***. The Geib blade is spectacular and glides over the skin. Just got through using it on my poodle and had to slow myself down in order to be safe with it. I'm absolutely floored at the quality and the sharpness. HGHLY recommend.

A nice length for close but not skin.
I use these on nose, mouth area and sanitary. Close but not too close.

Great blade
This blade was recommended to me by an Old English Sheepdog breeder for my own sheepdog who has a tendency for coarse fur and some matts (due to skin problems). The Buttercut blade has been used quite a few times now and is perfect. It is so much better than cheaper brands. We're now looking to get a different size and will get the same brand.

Disappointed
I know Buttercut has superior quality blades. I've been grooming for quite a while and I've never had issues with my blades. However, this one is a complete disappointment. I don't know what's wrong with it but it can't cut large quantities of hair. The hair gets stuck and I constantly have to clean it to make it work. I've had it sharpened multiple times, thinking that was the issue. Unfortunately, no matter what I try, this blade is garbage. I don't know if this is because I ordered off of Amazon or of Buttercut's quality had gone down significantly. Needless to say, this was a big waste of money.

Good blade for dog
Nice sharp blade nd good quality, Iโm very happy with it, dog not so much, she now bald as a badger. Wife now nervous but itโs great and I donโt have to pay a fortune for someone to trim the dog every time.

LOVE BUTTERCUTS
Love love love my buttercut 5, i use it for literally every dog and it leaves such a nice finish. Do not heat up fast like my Andis blades where I have to swap 2-3 blades per pet. Iโve groomed whole pets with a single buttercut not overheating
