UPDATE
So far....so good. I have been running the camera about two weeks now and it seems to be holding a charge just fine. Of course, I live in Florida so have abundant sunshine so hopefully it will be fine. I like the fact I can start the car and watch the rear area before placing into reverse. I can't tell you how many times people have walked behind me just as I am backing out. I'm waiting to see how shock absorbent the camera is because it gets slammed pretty hard when closing my Jeep SUV rear cargo lid. UPDATE: Mar 2025 - camera quit working and I had to bring into the house and charge it with cable. I sent the manufacturer an email requesting support as the solar charger does not appear to be working. I live in Florida so there is no problem with sunshine. Will report back when issue is resolved.

The kit included the dashboard monitor.
I really liked the easy installation. The instructions were clear and easy to follow.

Doesn't work exactly as hoped
Does work all the time as I had hoped, seems like the sun has to be shining on it directly to work

Works great most of the time. Sometimes it takes a few moments to first display, but otherwise good. I have 4 of these on various vehicles.

Failed usb port.
The usb port failed a month after warranty expired.This makes it useless during cloudy days. Amazon has an improved version, Better battery capacity,iarger screen,hopefully abetter usb port. Same price.

Superb product
This is our 3rd backup camera. Two previous ones didn't work well in short duration. This monitor and camera are so easily paired immediately as hooked up. Quality of image on the monitor is excellent as well. Thus my thumbs up in both hands.

That the unit lasts as this unit replaces a unit that failed
The ease of installation. I just hope that the unit lasts longer than the previous one !

Low brightness during daylight though set the brightness to highest level
I bought this camera 10 days back. Night vision is perfect but during the day light, the brightness is really low, though I set the brightness to the highest level. Even I was about to hit a parked car today while I was backing up my car to go out from the parking lot as I did not see the parked car properly for lack of brightness from the backup camera. Sometime motion does not work even!

It is a good product, the second unit I bought. The first one unfortunately got smashed after good few years of an excellent service. I hope this one will be equally reliable.

This unit replaces the licence plate surround with one with a solar panel and camera. Two screws loosened and then the new plate screws in place--really quick and easy. The screen is very clear and bright --far superior to the one in my 2015 Ford F150 by way of comparison. The lines showing the distance to the obstruction in the rear is quite accurate Overall a very good unit

Item did not turn on, did not charge, when I tried to get a refund no refunds allowed on this product. Waste of money and time.
