Cheap and easy
I know a temporary solution to a failed thermostat involves freezing it for a while, but these things are cheap and very easy to install, Full instructions:1 Power off.2 Access the rear panel of the dryer and remove...only 4 screws, to reveal the thermostat. it is held by one screw,3. Disconnect the push-on connections...just two, and unscrew the thermostat single screw.4. Wiggle it out, and wiggle in the new one. Secure with the screw.5. Reconnect the two wires..the order is not important, but the wire-lengths dictate the terminal to use.6. Replace the rear cover with its 4 screws7, Put the dryer back in position and turn on power.8 That's it..it takes less than 10 minutes!
