DIMPLEXPF3033HL Multi-Fire XD 33" Electric Firebox with Faux Logs Bed, Black

I researched every electric fireplace known to man, before deciding on this one and I’m so glad that I did!! Unlike others, this one is completely silent, unless the heater function is turned on and then it has a quiet fan sound. The unit doesn’t beep as you push buttons to cycle through the settings, either. This was important to me because it’s in my bedroom and I knew I would be adjusting it while my husband sleeps. I have a really difficult time turning it off, because it adds so much warmth and comfort to my room. If you are afraid to pull the trigger because of the price point or the few reviews it has, don’t hesitate. Just go for it! It is truly gorgeous and unlike any other I’ve looked at in person or online. Also, one thing I’ve read about in complaints is the mirror background. My fireplace is at the foot of my bed and I can see the reflection of my quilt if I look closely or during the daytime. That hasn’t been a distraction for us though. The front glass is tinted, so the mirror in the background is not clear or obvious. The mirror is the most essential piece to making this look so lifelike. It creates a double image of the logs and makes the flames appear to be coming up between the logs. It’s beautiful!!

We loved our house - except for the lack of a fireplace! But we did have a spot in a built in unit where this Dimplex fireplace would fit. My research told me that Dimplex was the brand to buy, so I went for it. the unit itself was a snap to install. it plugged in the rear of the space, and slid right in. The mirror in the back of the unit provides a dimensional appearance, and does not bother us when the unit is not on. the logs and flame are as realistic as I could hope for. Although there is a remote, the unit turns on and off with a wave of the hand over a sensor. if you want the unit to produce heat for the room, it can. If not, you can turn the heat off. We just had a party with the fireplace on, and our friends were all really impressed. My advice is this: if you want a fireplace, but don't have a good place to plumb for gas and install a bigger box and so forth, go for this. Spend the money to buy the best quality, and you won't be sorry in the long run.

Looks awesome IF you don’t look at the back wall! It’s electric but I think for the price they could have done a much better job with the image that you see on the back. If you train your eyes to look at the logs it’s real very nice. Another thing that upsets me is this,if you are looking into a fire you expect to hear snaps and pops, with this you get nothing. For me it’s kind of weird. Again,at this price point it just simply should have been done.I have waited a long time to get some kind of fireplace and for us electric was the only way to go. I can’t give it a 5star because I believe Dimplex should have and could have addressed these issues. Big price but infinity better than anything else I have seen at this price point.

My wife and I did a lot of looking for a electric fireplace for our bedroom. Saw this one at a dealer and decided this is it.I was going to buy this from a local dealer at the Lake Of the Ozarks and was quoted $1,225.00 I thought I would check on line and found this one for $ 700.00 less. I was skeptical that something was not right..when it arrived it had a damaged front glass panel and within a few minutes on the phone, they took care of it and a replacement glass was on the way. Much easier than shipping it back.I love the real flame effect.Thank you VM Express and Amazon

Fantastic fire efect, but a mirror in the back ruined... you will see the reflection of your self.

Obviously this isn't a gas or wood fireplace so it's not going to look exactly like one. However, this fireplace exceeded my expectations from photos and viewing this product in different show rooms. I would have waited to write this review until after our project was done (stone isn't installed yet, just cement board and carpet hasn't been cut back) but I thought it was important to upload these photos to show how great this fireplace is! The photos are just a few of the colors that it can rotate through.

My expectations were low to begin with. When it arrived I was equally disappointed. The flame looked as unfake as an electric flame could. Yet I could not get away from the mirror. It was pretty cheesy. I could see my whole room. It provided little heat. For $1300 I expected more, for an electric fireplace, I got what I deserved. I seen better for far less.

The fireplace insert was well packaged. Had id installed the same day it arrived. No issues. Tested every function before writing this review. Gives out a lot of heat. Very pleased with the fireplace insert we purchased.

First unit made an odd chriping noise when plugged in. Customer support was good and with sending them proof of the issue they refunded me. Had me cut the power cord and write void on the serial then I had to take it to the recycling. It also came with the insert broken. Second unit also came with broken insert prices but the unit has been working great for a few months now. Annoying that it's also busted but it was nothing a little super glue couldn't fix. Also seems that the thermostat isn't great and the unit hunts around the set temp by a good few degrees C. Happy enough with the unit.

Has damaged part inside, not from delivery.

Mirror sucks low flame not worth a 1000.00. 600 enough for this
