Great Product But Not Sure About Rubber Cal's Customer Service
Originally I contacted Rubber Cal directly and had them send a couple different samples so I could choose the best for my application. I build and maintain props for my daughters dance studio. We have two 2' x 11' wooden ramps that are part of a stage production set. Dancers were slipping on the painted plywood surface in tap shoes (including my daughter) and I needed a safer surface ASAP.I ordered 15' x 4' of this material on their web site and two days later, received an email stating they are out of it and will be 12 weeks or so before they have more. I was not happy that it took two days to let me know they were out . I starting searching for similar on the web and what do you know, Amazon had a bunch of it. Not something similar but Rubber Cal's material I attempted to purchase. Apparently they sent it all to Amazon. What I don't get, why didn't Rubber Cal advise me to check Amazon to solve my time sensitive problem and retain me as a customer for future purchases?Ok, now I have the product at home, out of the box and breathing because it does stink like a tire factory. I needed to glue to the plywood ramps so I tested a sample piece with Gorilla glue. It seemed to hold so I proceeded to spread it all over one of the ramps and placed the rubber over top. I put all kinds of heavy object on top of the rubber while the glue was setting and activated with water like you are supposed to. I use wood glues and Gorilla glue all of the time in my workshop. Two days later I removed all of the hold down objects and tested by gently pulling the edge of the rubber to see how effective the hold was. The entire sheet pulled right up. Yes, I have a heated workshop and plenty warm. I called Rubber Cal and asked for glue advice. They sell a two gallon structural poly urethane adhesive for $125 plus shipping (I live way on the other side of the country from CA.). I asked them to advise on something similar I could get locally right away and not break the bank. They had no advice, kind of disheartening.Anyway, I bought some acrylic rubber gym floor adhesive from my local flooring supplier and it seems to be holding but I'm not confident it will hold forever. The rubber product itself is very nice, just can’t get anything to stick to it well.

amazing buy!!!!
I was hesitant to buy this because of some of the bad reviews on it, but for $74 compared to $184 it was worth a try. Package arrived nicely packaged! I unrolled it and it is longer than 15 feet! Some people complained about this and I'm not sure why LOL because you are getting more for your money! Some people said it was cheap and easily rippable, but that is not true at all! They are not thick, but they are not cheap! I could hardly cut it with scissors! Some people complained about the smell of rubber, but I found it was not that bad and went away in a couple of days. My only complaint is because they roll it, the beginning rolls make little creases, but this not a big deal. Just lay it out and set something heavy on it. You cannot beat this for the price! I bought 3 for little more than the price of one of the other ones. do yourself a favor and just buy it and make up your own mind about it! It's on Prime so you can always send it back LOL! I bought these for my clinic because I take care of puppies and wanted to protect my floors. It's not fully set up yet, but when it is I will post pictures!

Makes good tool box drawer liners
I cut up this roll and used it for drawer liners in an automotive shop tool box, worked great. As with all rolled goods the last end of the roll wants to curl and stay rolled up. I heated it up, rolled it opposite and it laid pretty flat. In use it has tools laying on it, so not much of an issue. If you are using it as a floor runner might want to lay it out in the sun. As others have said it smells very strong of rubber, smells just like ground up tires which is what it is I think. In a tool box in the shop the smell blends in with everything else. When you open up a drawer you can smell it, even after a month. I would not suggest using it in a confined area, especially inside your house. I suspect the smell will never entirely go away.

Heavy rubber
Used half the roll in my boat and used the other half in the garage.

arrived damaged
I purchased 8 15' rolls to cover my basement floor. they were so heavy that the delivery person (apparently) had a hard time getting them to my driveway. 3 had the lightweight plastic wrapper pulled off in the delivery struggle, and 2 had holes in the rolls that went through 3-4 layers. The only reason I didn't attempt a return was because I could easily cut around the holes and use the pieces for the stairs. As for quality - they seem fine if you aren't going to be on them a lot. I'd call them lightweight.

Quality Rubber
I used this product as an underpayment for my garage floor tiles. I am very satisfied with the quality. The pieces are not cut exactly to size, they are off by a few inches or so, but in excess, not short. I have no complaints and this was the best price compared to any other product of its kind on Amazon. I’ll be buying more for future projects!

Happier Horses
This runner is working out well down the center aisle of our horse barn, where horses wearing shoes were slipping and sliding on the concrete. It's a little on the flimsy side for this purpose, but it's doing the job so I can't complain for the price. The rolls come tightly rolled, so the ends will curl up for awhile but eventually flatten out. Some reviewers have mentioned that there's a strong odor with this product, but I didn't find that to be the case.

Great product.
This worked great for pee proofing an area in my house for my 3 dogs (one is older). It was easy to lay out and cut. The only complaint is that it still has a rubber smell after a month and a half (but I suppose that is because its rubber lol)
