Annas Delicate Swedish Cookies, 10.5 Oz (Ginger Thins)

These are crisp and thin, although delicious the spices are a little better with Nyaker brand

Bought these to celebrate Sweden in my first grade classroom unit of Christmas Around the World. Cookies were good but VERY thin so easily breakable. Next year will try to plan ahead and find ginger snaps in a local store but that is nothing against these cookies -- that is more for convenience and cost sake. These were good cookies.

These are such a nice cookie to eat with a cup of tea or coffee. One of my favorites. Only problem is, I end up having to share them with my little pug dog. She loves them too!! They are fresh with a slight crispness to them with the perfect taste of ginger

Broken, no cookie only crumbs

Anna's makes several different flavors, but this is the one I like the best. Ginger is not as yummy to me as this Orange-flavored thin. I try to keep my consumption level to one serving of cookies at a sitting, but I could easily eat through a bunch, as they are a bit addictive! I picked these up at Big Lots as an experiment (a good place to buy and try new things, especially European-style sweets), but both my husband and I really like them as evening snacks. However, it can be hard to find this flavor at the neighborhood supermarket, so I order from Amazon when we're out. Despite storing them in a gallon storage bag, the cookies get a little softer once the package is opened for a while, but not to the detriment of the cookie. It's actually nice when they are a little less crisp. Their shape would also be nice to have out when guests come over. Have never tried dipping them, but they would probably be delicious with a half-dip into dark chocolate... and I think they would stand up to something like dipping in milk. YUM

I actually ordered these cookies because they were a needed ingredient for a Sauerbraten dinner. It was the first time I made it and it called for 10 crushed ginger cookies in the gravy (to thicken it). The meal with the special gravy was delicious - AND THE COOKIES ARE TOO. I snacked on the cookies as I was cooking and enjoyed them very much. Buying more, for sure!! I highly recommend them for all purposes :)
