Suction Cup & GorillaPod® Arm

I use this to GoPro my so a hockey games! Works amazing!!! It suctions tightly to the glass, and I lo e how you can place it any which way to get the best video! As a mom of a goalie this GoPro camera holder is a must!

I recently bought a GoPRO to film some of my son's ice hockey games. I needed a way to mount the camera, so I got a multi-pack of attachments. (50 in 1). In the box was a suction attachment that in theory would work as the glass around the rink is smooth. The first time I used it the suction held for about 5 minutes, then lost suction and the camera fell to the ground. I tried wetting, pressing hard but no matter what, the suction did not last for more than 5 mins. I saw others using the JOBY and laughed at me as they had none of these issues. So I bought one as my son was having a 6 game tournament, and figured I could return it if it did not work. I filmed every game, 5-6 hours, without any problem. Worked like a champ!!!

Joby is a good brand- no real issues. They mention in the sparse instructions that you need a smooth surface and the device must have a clean suction disk. I haven't used it much but I have tested it on a smooth wood desk surface and found that over time-half hour or so- the suction will fail. It doesn't mean the Gopro camera is likely fall but it is much easier to bump it. I've tried it on other smoother surfaces and it worked much better. The lesson is just because it looks smooth doesn't mean it is. Just something to be aware of. We intend to use it with the Gopro on our vehicle wind shields. I do recommend the product for light cameras - My heavy DSLR will never roost there!

I’m looked at many different options for mounting my GoPro. Specifically for recording my hockey games while I play goalie. This was recommended by many other goalies for its value and ease of use. It’s been perfect for me.

I bought this to hold my action cam to car window. Love that the it has strong suction and flexible joints make it easy to place action cam in the various locations. I can tell it uses quality material but one of the joint snapped out while I was bending. I was able to put the ball joint back in the socket, but that joint is loose. So, it has a hard time holding onto the same position for a long time. I looked up their warranty and it's not user friendly. You have to out of your pocket to send it to the manufacture. Then they will decide if that's defect or not. If it is their fault, they will choose to replace it with a refurb/new unit. If it is user's fault, I'll be responsible to pay for return shipping as well!So, that's why I love the function of the product, but I question the longevity and their warranty.

There were no other reviews that mentioned using this on a DJI Action camera but works just the same.

i wanted to mount my action camera on my tesla glass roof inside the car. it would stick for about a few minutes. as soon a bump comes it falls off. i even tried it while parked. a wait a few minutes and it eventually falls off. the arm is great and stiff. this would've worked for me except the suction cup doesn't stay on glass.
