Clip-Case Universal Ergonomic Tablet Stand (Tripod Kit) and Smartphone Mount for iPhone iPad iPod Galaxy Droid Kindle Nook

I don't know how this product got such high reviews, I guess people don't care much for aesthetics or simplicity of a product. This is essentially a plastic clip that you have to glue to the back of a case (one that you have to purchase yourself and not mind that a big ugly black plastic clip is glued to the back). The clip then attaches to the mini camera stand included which holds your phone in place. The mini camera stand is probably the only thing worth keeping - and guess what, it's a standard mini camera stand that you can buy anywhere for cheap. I don't use a phone case, so anytime I needed to use the camera on my phone with the mount, I had to carry the case with the clip with me, then put the case on the phone (which for most iphone cases are a pain to get on and off), take the picture, then remove the case once again. I eventually threw out the black plastic clip along with the cheapie case I bought, kept the stand, and bought another phone holder from PhotoJoJo called the Glif which is compatible with the mini camera stand. It is much smaller, sleeker, and does not require a case to attach to as it attaches directly to the phone and can be removed very easily.EDIT: I love how all the 1 star reviews got down voted as "not helpful". I think the staff at Smart Mount should get raises for going above and beyond their jobs. On a different note, I am still using my Glif from Studio Neat and it has fit two different versions of my iPhone with no issues. You can actually buy it on Amazon too :)[...]

I attached my clip to a uag case and have been using my mount like crazy. Perfect still shots and video thanks to this tripod and mount.I was surprised how small of a box the entire set up came in and was worried at first. Yet handling the mount and extending the legs I am truly amazed by this product. The coolest tripod I have ever owned!I have taken video of the sky for thunderstorms and time lapse photos of flowers. All thanks to this product. As well as YouTube videos and timed self photos... They come out professional with perfect stillness. I can get tons of angles.The only flaw I have found what so ever, is that sometimes with my phone flat towards the sky the tightener does not like the angle and comes loose. I'm not to worried as it works perfect at all other angles. I have been ecstatic owning this product and shown everyone I know. Also shared this product with the photo crowd on my Google plus.I would recommend this product to those of all photography skill levels. I would also say that owners of S3's and S4's could really benefit from using this tripod.

This is small enough to easily carry with me. It does the job. I use it when I travel to watch movies on my Galaxy phone. It creates a good ergonomic environment to watch movies and read my e-books. On short flights it is not necessary, but on long flights it is a big asset. Saves my neck, big time. The only thing I don't like is that I had to purchase an additional 'cover' for my phone to attach the clip-on.

I bought this tablet stand (I didnt need the tripod, but I'll take it) The quality and finish is good.I bought an extra back cover for my Note2 and now with the help of this clip, the note mounts on my DSLR's hotshoe so I can use the Note2 as an external monitor while filming. No other product worked as well for this purpose. Good quality and shipped fast.(If you intend to use your tablet / phone as external monitor on your DSLR for filming, you need to get DSLR controller from GoogleMarket, a micro ball head / tripod head from amazon, a usb connector cable and you will be all set!)

I don't know how this product got such a high rating but it doesn't deserve it. It shows a clip at the back but the clip IS NOT NEEDED. The product needs a permanent phone case attached to the clip with a glue. That means you can't use that case again. It also means that if you take the case off, the glue becomes useless. The sticky surface that comes with the product also wears off very fast and you'll find your phone falling off onto a hard floor in minutes. I would not recommend this product to anyone.I wanted a tripod stand that allowed me to insert my phone and take it out as I please. This stand doesn't offer that.

Kurt recommended attaching the clip to a cheap clear case so the mount isn't directly on your device and if you want to remove the adhesive completely to use dental floss. Very easy to work with this vendor and he delivered a handy product.

I like this a lot. Cool tripod and great idea that works for my phone well.Only thing is that it requires you to purchase a backing case to use.Very good though.

This tripod is very durable! The adhesive sticks very well. I love the removable clip so I can take my iPhone on and off the tripod using a cheap case.
