This is shipped from USA. It comes with a US power plug. It has no indication of which is the IN socket or OUT socket: just don't get it wet and it's not a toy. For £100+ frankly expected better. I will need to source a UK power supply before I can use it.

As my title suggests, this is not only the best kept secret for saving old VHS memories and other nefarious material you might have stored away but no way of retrieving it but also , shhhh ! best kept secret..... can't have everyone knowing how good a piece of kit this is. I have only done three conversions so far, using the S-Video route and everything is honey smooth using arcsoft showbiz as the receiving edit suite. I used the ClimaxDigital VCAP800 VHS & Camcorder USB Video Capture Kit for Windows to hook it up and the USB to connect to my PC.You might look at this and think £80 or there bouts is a lot but it really is not a lot considering it's capabilities. No fancy expensive multi box packaging, just a very safe and secure little box. It is smaller than I thought it would be but that is just a plus. You can easily re-render and change all parameters in your chosen editing suite in post. This is possibly one of my best acquisitions in my gadgetworld ever. Further and full info is freely available including links to save from a very unassuming young guy on YT . If I could give it 10 Stars .. I would no problem.

The added stabilisation helps when backing up VHS tapes to PC for archiving, but be aware that a side-effect of the stabilisation is that it removes the MacroVision copy protection signal. Don't use this product if you want to keep the copy protection. ;-)
