It is necessary to dip the probes in a solution or distilled water before and after use. 30 mins prior if you haven’t used it for a while. I don’t care much about the temp settings so I didn’t bother checking it for accuracy. I only care about salinity to measure my pool water. There are steps to follow and ranges for proper calibration if needed. It takes 4x LR44 batteries which I must have in storage in case I run out.
