i bought these as an experiment to see if they could help alleviate some of my adhd symptoms. i’m not sure if it is a placebo affect (i read the studies they have done and their results seem to prove it is not placebo) but i just feel a lot more clear headed the days i take this. i need to be better about taking it daily and see if it compounds but i really like it so far. instead of a stimulant which i can feel and don’t want to take, this feels like the sheer curtain that is usually between me and my brain is lifted. it’s a subtle yet dramatic shift at the same time. i’m excited to experiment further.

Saffron is a potent tool but it must be used correctly. First Swanson gets major props for actually offering the safe dosage for chronic supplementation. More isn't always better, and large amounts of Saffron is very toxic. It's also standardized with no stearat. That out of the way it's also important to note that for many people Saffron is sedating and should be taken at night, where it works as a great sleep aid in addition to the standard benefits. I find it helps me with my terrible anxiety and motivation. It also has an appetite suppresing effect which is nice, and suplosedly helps with skin but that I haven't noticed yet. It works very fast so if you don't notice anything after a week your probably a non responder.

I've been using Swanson Saffron Extract for years and have always thought that Swanson was one of the best and most reputable supplement companies out there....until now. I just received a new shipment of saffron extract. These capsules are much lighter in color that my previous bottles and there is hardly any saffron odor at all. I think they have been cut with some filler. These also give me a stomach ache and that has never happened before in the 10 years of using this product. Unfortunately they won't refund me, even though one bottle with the same lot number, is sealed and unopened. Buyer beware. Lot number B237431 Best By 10/21.

I actually had a friend recommend this product to me after it had been recommended by his M.D. for his anxiety. I have been taking this every morning for my anxiety for a couple of weeks now, and it made such a difference for me that I started to have my 12 yr old daughter take it for her anxiety and we have both noticed a major difference for her as well.

I have been using 30 mg dose of Saffron for about a year. After I was diagnosed with the very beginning of macular degeneration, I saw an article that Saffron could help with macular degeneration. I gave the article to my optimist to check out. He said he didn't see that it would any harm and could possibility help but not to take a dosage above 30 mg. since I started on saffron, I have seen my optimist several times and he doesn't see any progression of the macular degeneration so far.I had been using a different brand so this is my first order for this brand but since it appears to be the same I suspect it will give the same results.

Helped me with my depression, and to some extent, my anxiety. Began to feel a difference within a few days. I had tried another brand in the past that worked, but this was much cheaper and a brand that has a good reputation. I had forgotten about how great saffron is for depression but fortunately saw an article about it. This was my last resort before a prescription. I am relieved since I did not want to go that route. It did work for me.
