Rock64 simply rocks
Received my rock64 few weeks ago but I couldn't make it work due to having wrong time of connector on power supply, so it finally came friday & since them I have been doing some experiments. BTW, if you are ordering from UK, be ready to cough up the customs charge and Royal Mail handling fee, that came up around £16 for me.For those who are having issues with the (Linux) OS installation please google for "ROCK64 Software Release" and download the Xaniel or Debian, both work like a charm. I haven't tested fedora so far so cannot comment on it. I did the disk image on micro SD card and it booted the OS smoothly. I did initial configuration using HDMI cable and bluetooth keyboard/mouse. Once I installed xrdp, I didnt need any screen, I used RDP to login to console, even though it will probably never be used in future as SSH is the best way for me.When I compared the performance with my Raspberry PI 3, there is no match. Rock64 rocks, but then again it has 3GB additional memory as well as stronger CPU. The only downside so far is not case or kit available in market but otherwise its way ahead of Raspberry. I am very happy with it.

Rock 64
I had high hopes for this SBC. But todays experiences have destroyed that. In essence, if you're not running android - forget it. The Ubuntu Mate image crashes after around 60 seconds and wont reboot. The Ubuntu LXDE image crashes if you add a simple extension to the firefox browser. It's just not good enough.I have years of experience with RPi, Asus Tinkerboard and Ordroid XU4. All are solid hardware with GOOD os support. If PiNE64 we're serious about this board, they'd have a ROCK SOLID Ubuntu mate image for it, and not leaving support to 'some guy' on Github. I certainly will not be buying any hardware from them again.

Great pieces of kit and superb customer service too
The Rock64 is an ARM64v8/ARMHF compatible SBC, with it's advantage over the Rasperry Pi being that it has USB3 and Gb ethernet.Have several of these now working doing various tasks, running OpenMediaVault and docker images for various tasks in my media server setup.Had an issue with one of the Rock64s, and on contacting the seller they sent me out a replacement... replacement has been rock-solid (no pun intended!!), and runs everything great. If you are considering venturing into the SBC arena, then I cannot recommend one of these highly enough in my experience.

Good value for money considering it has 4gb ram and usb 3 and fast Ethernet. Manufacturer provides an app to directly flash os image onto sd cards.

Received ahead of expected time, Flashed an SD card - up and running in minutes. Great fast and 64bit
Received well ahead of planned date (did have to pay customs tax for UK).Downloaded the O/S downloader from Pine, flashed an SD card with Debian up and running in minutes. It seems significantly faster than Raspberry Pi but then does have 4GB RAM onboard so it will be.More testing to go through but this is a great 64bit machine.

Fast and 4GB memory reduces swapping to disk. Needs a Heatsink and Fan as CPU temperature gets to the point of shutdown if this unit gets busy!

The future....
Fantastic product, a big fan of single board computers. Do not use them for anything other than htpc device's. Great quality, forums give a great deal of help.
