Adaptive Fast Charging Dual-Port Car Charger with USB Type C Charger Cable Compatible Samsung Galaxy S9 / S9+ / S8 / S8 Plus/Active/Note 8 / Note 9 and More

This is not an OEM Samsung car charger. My fault for not reading the description more carefully. It is a China made knockoff. I wouldn't trust it to charge my expensive new Samsung cellphone. It even has the brand name Samsung embossed on it, which was then covered with black tape to avoid accusations of being counterfeit. I have no idea as to how well this item works because I won't use a knockoff. I'm going to take the monetary loss on it because of my inattention to important details in the product description.

I was very skeptical when I first received since it was a cord, a adaptor, and just a corner of product packing (last picture). I immediately ran to my Nissan and plugged it into the center arm rest console's 12v outlet. It's a very snug fit, had to jam it in. Plugged cord into my Galaxy Note 8, and the screen said fast charge. Went to get a another random cable and plugged in a Galaxy S8+. Low and behold, both phones displayed fast charge. Can fast charge 2 phones simultaneously! It hasn't caught fire yet. I haven't ripped off the black tape yet, but I'm pretty sure it will same Samsung. I guess I didnt get a faulty product. It's a hit or miss for a lot of people.

This charger worked okay for a whole of 2 months. During the time that it actually functioned, yes there was never any chance of damaging the phone from overcharging as it could barely charge my Samsun Note 8 at all. With the phone on it could only maintain the charge. I admit I purchased it based on price but if it doesn't even work then it's value is $0.0 don't buy this go with the Samsun Model or some other name brand that you can trust.

Received item, within minutes of receiving I hopped in my car plugged it in and it did not work. I plugged into another outlet, did not work there either. I tried it in my daughters car just to make sure but it didn't work there either. I thought that my electrical outlets were damaged so I tried my old charger and it worked! The good thing is that amazon return policy is grade A. I didn't want to take a chance with a replacement so I will look elsewhere for a car charger for a Samsung s8, It is also a very big charger!

It does what it advertises: both ports Fast Charge my Samsung Galaxy S8. And it's advertised as "Adaptive" fast charging, which I hope actually works and is what I wanted for increased battery life through smarter charging. The product came intact and clean, along with a Type-C cable in a neat, minimalistic plastic pouch.Couple of minor points. First, the ports do not glow in blue light as shown in one of the pictures. Second, it is a very tight fit in my car's power outlet, much more so than with any other peripheral I've stuck in there.But on balance it does its charging job well, which is what matters.

I normally don't write one star reviews, but I made an exception for this product because I am so annoyed. The car charger works, my phone shows fast charging when I used it. My only complaint is that only ONE USB port works! I even bought an extra charging wire thinking that the wire that came with it was defective. Nope, when I switched the wire that I know works to the other USB port it wouldn't charge. My husband and I have to take turns charging our phones now! Hopefully the seller will send us a new one.

So it works, it will charge a device, but not fast. It charged my phone less than 10% in 30 minutes, definitely not fast. Also, it should be mentioned that they printed "Samsung" on the side and covered it with black tape... it wasn't advertised as Samsung, so I'm not too mad about that, but clearly they tried to fool people at some point or plan to in the future. It is bigger than other car charger, as in it fits very snug in the port, which isn't a bad thing, but it doesn't fast charge, at least not compared to a Samsung charger.

The one I received was a Samsung OEM but had a sticker over the Samsung label, why?Seems to work OK, if one device is not "fast charging" the other port will go to "Slow charge"! not a problem in my case since I am charging both Samsung phones with fast charging capability but when I am charging my Gopro charger and my phone, my phone will go to "slow charge"
