My Christmas Coloring Book

I always loved getting a big new Christmas coloring book every Christmas when I was young as well as giving them to my own children later on...and it was hard to find one I liked. This one makes the grade for this time and age. Just when there are even coloring books being printed for grown-ups. Coloring is restful and just plain fun when staying in the lines. In kindergarten your kids aren't going to get much time with practicing staying in the lines developing fine motor skills. That's why I promote fun leisure coloring for kids and even grown-ups like me who are starting to lose those fine motor skills. Color with your kids, it's fun.

I bought this book based on a review that said it had nice big and uncomplicated pictures to color and that it was printed on actual coloring book paper. The nice big and simple pictures was true but the paper is that pure white shiny standard printer paper which does not color well using crayons. It's more of a dull and wax like output/deposit rather than a thick oil and rich color deposit. This white paper must be cheaper for the companies these days because today, it is hard to find a proper coloring book without standard white printer paper. I could just print out my own coloring pages for free using plain white printer paper and my own printer and not bother with spending extra money and time on buying a coloring book if that is the case. The paper in this book is not the original coloring book paper that is off white and textured like newspaper or a paper bag. For once, i would like to find the kind of coloring books i enjoyed as a kid.

Excellent quality. Thick with many things to color. Tends to the simplistic, like just a wreath or a tree, things that young children are comfortable to color but any age would not find it intimidating. I've ordered things that turned out to be junk, but this is well made, good quality paper and a great quality cover plus a very good price. It came quickly. I have nothing negative to say. The kids will have fun. Merry Christmas.

The contents is great and my cousins loved it. I gave it 4 stars only because it is not nearly as thick as they used to be several years ago.

This book has very large easy pictures for kids, not to "busy" as to help them not get bored and be able to finish the picture. The pictures are very cute and well drawn. All around great book with many many pictures.

If you remember coloring in Christmas coloring books from the 50s and the 60s, this one is perfect.

Easy to color pictures, for adults yet not to complicated with to much busy designs. Love the book and pictures. Nice for handicap adult to feel like an adult, not having to use the kiddie coloring books and yet being able to color and have fun

Easy pictures to color once in awhile instead of the more intricate ones.

When I was a kid in the seventies, a cover like this meant lots of relatively detailed colouring pages inside. There’s a couple of good retro styled pages, but this book is mediocre at best. I was looking for a book that was true to its time period and this wasn’t it. It seems like a homemade set up.

Wish that there was a better description of the book as it has pictures on both sides and thin paper so not good to use markers with it.

Very old-fashioned pictures to colour! Reminds me of the Christmas cards from long ago!
