Good product.
This filter is as good as the OEM filters at a lot less money. I have purchased this product before and no complaints. No leakage at all.

With an RFID from the filter bypass plug these work like a charm
GE made interesting choice for me when disabling their filter. Basically, I now am refusing to pay the inflated $$ for the rfid enabled OEM filter.Just find (or buy) the filter bypass plug and gently remove the rfid. It should remove nicely with the sticker. Just stick it directly into the wall of the filter bay. Might take a try or two to get it just right. After that, install your replacement filter. Although the “I sit on a throne of lies” fridge will say. “Not Filtering” you can rest assured it is - because you just installed a new filter.Take the money you saved and do something nice for yourself or someone you love.

Good taste
Great ice & water taste I mainly use the Ice as we are on well water I use our distiller for water... but no funny taste or smell with water/ice I can't tell what % of contaminants it takes out because I have not had water tested and not an expert. but would i buy again ~ yes

Check manual. Maybe okay without mods
If you're like me, you probably saw a bunch of videos about how to use this product. Some had complicated instructions on lining up the RFID sticker or using the backflow module to mark where the chip goes. Check your manual, because I was able to use this out of the box without adding any chips or RFID tags from an old unit. I guess my fridge came in with the more expensive one hoping that I would blindly reorder the same expensive model without looking at other options. To be fair, I did for the last 5 years. Not anymore.
