Definite improved airflow and performance.
I'm not a professional mechanic who turns a wrench for a living and my air compressor is a 21 gallon, 2.5 HP, 125 psi Central Pneumatic from Harbor Freight that I've had for the past 3 years. I mainly use my air tools for routine maintenance on my cars and yard equipment and my son and his friends use them for their cars. With the exception of a Matco MT1712 1/2 impact gun, all of my other air tools, air fittings and air hoses are Central Pneumatic from Harbor Freight. With that being said, I was never really impressed with the performance of my air tools, however, since I bought them from HF, I wasn't really expecting much. Recently, I needed a new air hose and also decided to change out my hose fittings. I Googled which would be the best hoses and fittings and consistently saw Milton V-Style fittings in my searches. As you can see in the picture, the fitting on the top is a steel Central Pneumatic air fitting from Harbor Freight, in the middle is a Milton V-Style steel fitting from Milton S-217, and the bottom is a fitting from this reviewed package. After checking prices I decided on this package because it included the couplers and fittings. I had read the reviews regarding durability since these were made from anodized aluminum and wasn't too concerned because I don't really abuse the hoses or fittings. After installing them with Teflon thread tape I had a chance to use an air chisel and air hammer for a project. I could tell right away that the performance was much better. The air chisel was bouncing around a lot and the coupler and fittings were getting a good workout. There was no noticeable damage or defect at all in the fit or finish. Upon using my impact gun I was able to see a definite improvement in performance when trying to remove rusted bolts. These couplers and fittings definitely improved performance. I grease the internals of my impact gun regularly and also use an in-line lubricator but was never really satisfied with it until now. I had actually considered upgrading my impact gun to get better performance. The only "down" side to these fittings is that you'll use a lot more air and your compressor will kick on more often. As I've said before, I also bought the steel version of these fittings (Milton S-217) and they work just as well. If you're worried about the durability of the anodized aluminum then that would be your best alternative although they are not purple. The couplers are backwards compatible with other fittings but you won't get the increased airflow that you get when you have all V-Style fittings and couplers. The V-style fittings WILL NOT mate up to non V-Style couplers. I also use Marvel Mystery Oil to oil all of my air tools and Royal Purple Synthetic compressor oil in my air compressor.

They do the job as advertized
Worked exactly as advertized. Definately suped up my impacts, no doubt. They run faster and hit harder for sure. The known drawback is that obviously they go through air quicker so compressor will turn on more. But its just physics. Worth the tradeoff. Guns dont feel anemic now.Took off a star for durability. The couplers are steel, the plugs are soft aluminum just like everyone said in other reviews. Couplers seem very durable. Plugs are extremely light weight. They do get knicked up and dented and the paint comes off a bit. But if you take care of your tools and dont drop them around or use them that often they are just fine. If you are a bit rough with them or drop them around because you work in professional shop every day, i would recommend the steel plugs which i have as well. But these are great more cost efficient product for your average DIYer who needs a bunch of these fittings for cheap cost and in-frequent use. Sharp looking too. The colors help too if you have multiple hoses.

Light, Quality Connectors
Currently in the process of replacing all of my fittings with these. In the past, I've always used the normal brass industrial style fittings. Had some issues with airflow on a new HVLP sprayer and die grinder and decided to try these out. First thoughts are that they are noticeably lighter than the brass, yet seem just as resilient. The quick-connects are VERY satisfying and feel great. Pulling the quick connect disconnects the fittings even with no pressure, which is really nice. The coating feels and looks really good, we'll have to see how well it holds up but I am not concerned yet.And at this price, they are pretty much the same price as normal brass fittings but lighter and more airflow. Now, just need to buy a nicer regulator!

They move some air for sure.
Coming from a mixed bag of universal and industrial couplers, these perform much better. I thought my impact gun's air valve was going bad because it had zero power, but after troubleshooting i found my quick coupler was limiting air flow. I changed all the tools, hoses and compressor fittings over to these type V fittings and everything runs better. Impact has more power than ever, even filling tires is faster.Pros:Price.selection of male side fittings included.Air flow.Cons:for best performance, keep all fittings the same brand or at least type, so buy extras.Male side fittings are aluminum, they are not the strongest, If you drop the tool count on the fitting breaking. Which is better than damaging the tool, so it's not a horrible thing.some people may not like the color, i couldn't care less can be helpful in identifying if you missed converting a tool.I prefer brass over steel couplers, not a deal breaker.

OK so far, leaks when using industrial plugs
I just switched all my compressor and hose fittings to these high flow ones. So far so good, I will see how they hold up. The aluminum plugs weigh almost nothing compared to brass, and have very thin walls, so I'm a little worried they won't last. Also, The coupler is advertised as accepting both Industrial plugs and these high-flow ones. Industrial style plugs do fit, but there's a very slight leak. Not really a problem as you would only be doing something like that in a pinch.

I like that the couplers aren't aluminum
Fitment was no issue, I could care less about the color but they're a vibrant purple. I wish the male plugs were brass instead of aluminum. The couplers however are not aluminum which I like because they'll hold up (hopefully) when hitting the ground, etc. All other style male fittings will fit into the female couplers. Easy to setup. When connected there is play between the coupler and male fittings but it doesn't leak. I feel like the connection could be improved (less play) but it doesnt seem to be an issue. A huge improvement over most Hi-flo V style female couplers that are mostly all aluminum.
