Very happy with the vest!
I bought the Ororo down heated vest with detachable hood in size small. I'm 5' 4" and thin, and the fit is great.I've now used the vest through several weeks of temperatures in the 20s, 30s, and 40s F, usually while taking one- to two-hour walks. The warmth the vest provides is wonderful. For me, it's taken away the dread of being out in the cold. In the 40s, I wear a fall jacket over it; in the 20's or 30s, a down coat. (Since the vest is fairly puffy, your outerwear needs to be fairly roomy for it to fit.) I keep the heat on medium, and I've found that the battery is about halfway down after about 2.5 to 3 hours of use. It takes about 3 hours to recharge, so I always recharge as soon as I get home. The detachable hood is a great asset. It's very well designed so that it looks good, doesn't blow off, and doesn't hang over your eyes. It's not heated, but the down makes it very warm. I like almost everything about the appearance of the vest. The shape is as flattering as possible for a down vest, and all the details are nicely styled and well made. The only thing I don't like is the brightly lit on/off button. I anticipate using the vest without anything over it in early spring and fall, and I'd rather the button were less conspicuous. Everything else has been great. When I first bought the vest, I had a few questions, and I found Ororo's customer service to be easily accessible and helpful. The vest was a splurge for me, but it's been well worth it. This winter I've been using it almost every day.

Love this vest. Warm and worth the price
Received my vest today. I usually wear an extra small top so I was worried a small would be too big. When they say slim fit - they mean slim fit. It zips up and fits great, til you add the battery which is an inside zippered pocket on your left side about waist height. It still zips, but it’s snug. For reference I’m 5’4 118 pounds. It’s longer than expected, which I like. Hits below the top of my jeans. The hood snaps on and off. It looks nice. The only negative is the logo that is the on/off switch glows - very brightly. I’m expecting lots of people to ask why my vest lights up.It took only a couple minutes before I felt it heating up. The red level is warm. Like, equal to my body size hot hands warmers I usually use. The collar heat is great, but I can’t feel it unless the front is zipped all the way so the collar is actually touching my skin.I bought the vest instead of a jacket so I had flexibility to wear it even inside or in the fall. I have raynauds which causes circulation issues that makes me feel cold all the time. I think this will be great. Time will tell in the battery life, but so far it’s well worth the money. Now if they’d make a jacket with heat through the arms and heated pants I’d be all set.I only saw one other review on Amazon for this particular vest - i don’t know why they said it’s not warm. Maybe the fit was too big - the vest has to be touching you or you won’t feel it. I think it’s great. The highest setting was too much in my house where I’m always cold. The middle or lowest setting was perfect. I’ll definitely use the highest setting outdoors though.***Update: I used this vest at a nighttime football game. It had enough battery to last for tailgating all the way to the end of the game. I switched back and forth on the temperatures to keep myself warm, but not overheated. I have used it a couple times back home while just running errands and such. It is able to last from school drop off in the morning til pickup in the afternoon, then it needs recharged. Overall, I'm still very happy with this purchase.

Size, fit and function are great!
2 year Update: Battery and vest still function wonderfully even after MANY washes. I ran into a lady the other day who was wearing this brand of vest who said she owns 2 and loves them. The other update is this sweet woman in the pictures is now my wife. =]Former fit review:My girlfriend has a tiny frame so she is always cold on her daily walks in the winter and sitting through church or movies. This does the trick for her. She can finally stop carrying hand warmers with her everywhere we go. She said her walks are so much more pleasant now having a heat factory surrounding her torso.Size: I got my lady a small which is her norm. It fits well. I can even see this fitting someone with a true medium frame. Her tummy is flat but I can see a holiday expanded belly fitting just fine still. Her chest is not small but not medium or large. There is room for more endowed women with a small waist with the small.Fit: It has plenty of room for a sweater underneath without being awkwardly baggy if just wearing a shirt underneath. It is not form fitted like a fashionable vest but is more roomy like a functional vest needs to be for layering purposes. It also looks good though a tight less functioning lulu lemon or Guess vest looks more fashionable.Function: It heats up decently fast and functions long enough that she forgets to charge it. I have read some people have issues with their vest not heating and I am sorry for them not having the same experience. We are only a month in so time will tell if my lady’s experience is as good as hoped for. I’m now considering the men’s for my outdoor winter work though I wish it was canvas to handle my construction roughness.

Love the vest! Battery could be better.
I absolutely love this vest! It's warm, and looks good. I've had so many compliments. The battery pack is right on the hip, which is a little bothersome but not that big of a deal. However, the battery itself isn't great. It takes forever to charge, and even when it's fully charged, I get maybe half an hour on high before it drops down to medium automatically. It does this to conserve battery, but I'd rather just use it on high if I want.

Very comfy
Vest is well fitted and cozy. Very warm even without battery use.... and battery works very well for short periods of time. Battery doesn’t seem to last as long as it should

It is better than I expected
I bought this for my mom, who is vulnerable to cold. She is very happy with the warmth of those heated pads. The temperature could reached 37-38 degree. If you touch the heating pads over the cloth, you can feel the warmth. The vest is light and look durable. We are satisfied with it.

Size: Small, comfortable, produces comfortable heat
The media could not be loaded. Got the small size a week ago. I just eyeballed that it might fit my short frame. I’m 5 ft tall and mostly all legs. I was worried that the vest might turn out too long for my short body length. It turned out find. Even covers a portion of my hips. It is well made, no loose seams or torn stitches. It would work well as an inner layer, or on outer layer on top of long sleeves thermal wear (whatever floats your boat). It is not very thick, which makes sense as the heating element at the front, closer to bottom (no heating element at the chest level) and at the back you can feel the heat from neck, to shoulder, wide at the back. It has pockets perfectly aligned against the heating elements in the front, I can do without gloves. It kept my hands from being cold. There is an inner pocket with zipper on the bottom left side that to me is around the hip area which I barely noticed after awhile. This is the pocket for the batteries. The batteries might look big, but you get used to it. It’s not so heavy where you feel a pull on the jacket. It becomes barely noticeable after frequent use you might forget to charge it. Besides the zipper, there are snaps at the front. You can choose either option or both. The instructions are easy to understand, and may not even need to read it and use common sense. The battery came with a charge, but I did plug it in fully to see how long I can use it indoors before the battery runs out. My test might be a little skewed since I tested it indoors. The button in front if you hold it down for 3 seconds will turn the heating element on. It starts as a blinking red (about 5 mins more or less) almost to get it to a set temp to start and then automatically turns to white (medium heat). You can click it again to either shift from blue (lowest setting) or red (highest setting) as needed. It does get warm/hot fast. At the highest setting, it was too hot for me for indoors. Mostly changed from white and blue throughout the day. Kept me pretty warm for the whole work period (kept the house slightly cool to test). I haven’t tried it outside yet with even colder temps going down below zero. I am curious to know how long the charge will last if consistently set at the highest temp. I can only surmise, that if dressed properly, you could keep the settings at medium heat to extend the charge. It has a hood that would help cover my head if I was outside and wanted to block cold air. it also can be removed if needed. It is on the expensive side but I think the quality is worth it from initial tests. I will update again once I have tested outside and how long the battery lasts on high setting.

Best practical gift I've gotten for my girl in a long time
At first I bought the lower model woman's vest from Ororo without the hoody and wasn't down-filled. It was an xmas gift for my girlfriend. She loved the idea and was excited about it, but I bought a size too large. I wasn't able to exchange which actually worked out great as I upgraded to this model with the hoody and down fill.It was a price jump, but well worth it. She absolutely loves the vest and uses it constantly! She gets cold very very easily which is why I purchased it, and now it's her favorite thing to wear in our Canadian winters. The battery lasts as long as advertised, but I wish it lasted longer as she wants to wear it all the time, and can only get about 3 hours out of it on the highest setting. She is in the habit of charging it before bed each night now, and she uses it anytime she's outside. I will probably purchase an additional battery so she can swap out or keep one in her jeep, but I wasn't sure she would like it as much as she does so I was happy I got her something she can get so much use out of.I will post a follow up down the road, but it is very nicely made, excellent packaging and as described. Everybody asks her about it when they notice the LED light on it, and all her friends are jealous. It is the best practical gift I've gotten for my girlfriend in a long time!

Fantastic vest
This is the perfect heated vest. Fit is great. Double zipper is a great addition to the vest. Heats up quickly. Battery lasts a long time.
