I've only had this case for a brief period, but i have to say I'm pretty impressed so far. I bought the vintage antique bronze case (looks like an old leather book) and the quality is absolutely above what I expected for half the cost of the official Amazon case with the fabric cover.For this specific case, I can't speak for the other models that have the fabric material, or the multiple different colored leather pieces, but this one feels like one big sturdy piece of leather (artificial leather of course at this price). But I think this particular model, as well as the maroon version, is probably the best bang for the buck. The full leather wrap feels incredibly durable and looks great.When I first started looking for a case, I honestly just wanted something to cover the screen while in my bag while keeping the slim profile as much as possible without spending the 30 dollars Amazon was charging. But after reading several reviews about the cases that require you to snap the Kindle into a plastic bit...a lot of people were complaining about the plastic pieces snapping off and disintegrating. I just wanted something to set and forget and not worrying about falling apart under minimal use, so I started looking at the models that slide into a fabric or "leather" bit instead. Some models were as cheap as 8 or 9 bucks but I kept finding reasons to not buy. I finally found this one and paid a little more hoping that it would feel durable and fill the purpose I needed, and I'm glad I did. It's incredibly nice. Holds my Kindle firmly in place, so the leather doesn't get in the way of the screen. Protects the edges from falls. And it looks and feels like a MUCH more expensive case.The only con I would give it, is that the flip on/off can be a bit temperamental, but 8 out of 10 times, it works correctly. But every now and then, it fails to register the case closing. Probably just a weak magnet. Honestly though. It's a non issue for me since I usually hit the power button before closing it for the night. At half the cost of the Amazon version, this case is a great option.

This is about the 3rd cover I have purchased. Definitely the best looking one to date. I read a lot and so put a lot of wear on the cases. So far... fits perfect, well made and looks great. Can't comment on the longevity, but I'm sure it will last at least as long as any other cover I've had. I'd recommend.

Always a dilemma for the elegant slender Kindle: A case will pretty much guarantee the Kindle will survive a drop or being roughly packed somehow. But the trade off is a balance between a slim minimal cover and this one. After reading about broken corners on those thin covers I opted for this version. It was similar to an old one I'd had for many years made by a now defunct company. I chose black with the brown edge because the interior part that holds the Kindle is black and matches it. I think that is very important. I would have preferred a different color on the outside, but I wanted the part I looked at more to be more seamless. Let's face it, this is not the most streamlined holder, but it gets the job done. I don't worry about damage if something goes awry. The wake on opening feature works well, and there is a flap on the inside vertical edge that keeps the Kindle securely positioned. The holder was a bit stiff at first to fold back behind the Kindle, but that has not been a problem. The exterior surface seems quite good, but I've only had it a month. I would like to think I could get a number of years of use out of it given the price. I don't have to worry about a corner getting crushed or breaking if dropped. This case provides plenty of security for the Kindle. I did read a lot of reviews. Appearance was very important as was durability and protection for the Kindle.

Fits perfect and look gorgeous! Feels like leather, and is easy to hold. I had trouble with the slimmer covers on how I would hold the kindle as I was reading - I kept accidentally hitting the off button while I was reading. This cover is a little bulkier, but only slightly, and it helped me to not always be accidentally turning the kindle off.

My new Kindle Paperwhite is protected from drops with plenty of cushioning provided by this case. It's secure inside and won't fall out, as its tightly secured by the "leather" pocket that is sewn onto the case, the top side seals closed with velcro under my Kindle (so you can't see it). There's no hard plastic or other fasteners to damage your device, just the "leather" and velcro that's it. The design on the front is pretty, gives it some character. There is no obstruction when you want to plug in to charge and the maganent works well. My only issue, if you can even call it that, is the bottom of the pocket was sewn slightly crooked. The right bottom corner is lower than the left. Most people wouldn't even notice it, it's really not a big deal, although it is driving me a little nuts. However, with all thing considered, price, functionality and appearance, it's absolutely worth every cent.....so far at least, I've only had it for a about a week. I will update if it falls apart like my 1st "leather" case did (it was NOT this brand) *** I have been putting leather in quotes because this case is NOT REAL LEATHER ***
