I ordered the single. The strips do not go length ways. The strips go width ways, making the duvet look very different than what is shown in the picture. After one wash, the fabric is a bit scratchy to the touch.

Unfortunately the duvet I received has horizontal stripes and not vertical as advertised in the picture. Also the fabric is not very soft or of good quality.
