Skateboarding: How It Works (The Science of Sports (Sports Illustrated for Kids)) Paperback – Illustrated, April 1, 2010

My friend's son loves skateboarding but not math or science. Wanted to create a link. I looked over the book before I gave it. It contains basic principles that could pique the interest of a young teen or tween, I'll edit this if I receive more feedback.

Excellent book!! I purchased this book for my 9-year-old and 11-year-old grandsons who both love to skateboard. The 9-year-old does not care much for reading -- but he reads this book (and "Skateboarding" by Clive Gifford which I also purchased). Highly recommend both books. Thank You.

Our grandson LOVED this book. He is putting together a science project based on information found in this book. Nice to be able to pull science into a sport that he already loves.

I am teaching a SKATEBOARD SCIENCE class this summer and this book has helped me feel prepared.

I have a science library for students in my Physical Science class. This book is a good resource. It has solid content without overloading my reluctant to read students.

More for a preteen. Easy to read
