Great Travel Carseat & for Airplane Use
As a travel carseat - 5 stars: If you are flying with your baby, this is the seat to get. It fits in the Southwest Airlines seat perfectly. I haven't flown with it on any other airlines. I highly recommend getting the rolling travel stroller for the airport (I used: https://www.amazon.com/GO-GO-TRAVELMATE-Travel-Stroller-Toddler/dp/B000JJK9EY).For occasional use: 5 stars. It gets the job done. For everyday use: It's ok - 3-4 stars. The plastic clasp feels a little flimsy. I am sure it's perfectly fine, and it meets all the testing and quality standards and actually has a pretty high consumer reports score. However, I am probably going to get something a little sturdier just for my own peace of mind. Our second carseat is a britax, and when you use them side-by-side you really see the difference in quality of material and padding and support.

Great airplane travel carseat
We bought this car seat especially for airplane travel. Even though we bought it from Walmart I felt like it made traveling so easy I had to share.1) It's lightweight and easy to haul through the airport. Next time we will put a zip tie on a small hole on the back and use a "mommy hook" to clip it onto our stroller to make it easier to carry through the airport. But even carrying it by hand was not taxing.2) it was easy to install on a plane. We flew southwest and it fits on their seats(forward facing) perfecty. It took less than a minute to install securely for air travel. Slightly longer to get it in securely in the car but that installation was also easy. We used the lap belt on the plane and the latch system in the car.3) All indications are that it is comfortable. Our two year old is 3 ft tall, about 35lbs and forward facing. We had two flights totaling about 4 hours and he didn't fuss much save for takeoff and landing. That being said, it doesn't have the thickest padding I've even seen in a car seat. It's just a plastic molded seat with a single layer cover over it. It kind of feels like a diving suit material. But that makes it easy to wash if not the most comfy seat for longer hauls.4) for the love of all things, the straps are actually easy to adjust. I adjusted the seat from our two year old down for our 2 month old in just a few minutes. This is a best buy for traveling and a pretty good one for around town as well.

although we were very happy with how light and easy it was to carry ...
This seat works well for us forward facing in a car. However, we bought it for a plane trip and, although we were very happy with how light and easy it was to carry through the airport, it was awful in the airplane seat. Plane buckles are all nearly the same length. Forward facing, tightening he seat belt as far as possible, left the buckle square in the middle of my daughter’s back, right up against her spine. She managed to stay fairly content for a 2.5 hour ride but this would be worthless for a longer flight. For the price, this is great for our second car and occasional use. For or main seats, we prefer sturdier seats.

Poorly designed attachment strap mechanism
The strap that is used to attach the car seat to the car itself is extremely poorly designed. The car seat needs to be pulled down snug against the seat in the car, and it is very difficult to do this--the tighten/release buckle is very poorly designed and does not easily allow the strap to be pulled snug. I have installed this seat multiple times in multiple cars, and each time it is a fight to get the seat installed with a snug fit. I hate to think how many of these seats are riding around with a sloppy or loose fit due to the poor design. By comparison, we have a Chicco KeyFit car seat base, and it is extremely easy to attach properly and with a snug fit in a matter of seconds.

Recommended by Child Safety Tech
We love love love this. We consulted with a Child Safety Tech before buying and are very happy with the choice. We have bought one for every vehicle from parent cars to grand and great grandparent vehicles. So affordable it's worth not having to move and reinstall every time someone helps out.

So far this seat is great! She sits rear facing still and I use ...
I babysit my 18 month old niece once a week as well as other times. Having a car seat in my car makes it easier. So far this seat is great! She sits rear facing still and I use it's front latch system. It's in the middle seat in my car & it's small enough that 2 adults can sit on either side of it but it still has a good amount of growing room! The straps are all easy to adjust as well. Installation wasn't to difficult as long as you read the booklet & read your vehicle owners manual. It could use a bit more padding in the seat cover, but my niece seems comfortable. I am very happy with this car seat!

Great for traveling
Absolutely no way I’d want to use this car seat for every day after using our much nicer(but way more expensive seat) BUT for traveling it worked out fantastic because it was so incredibly light. We carried it through the airport and through cruise ports with no problem at all. It’s a little hard to tighten the straps but for the price and the weight, it’s worth the struggle for a travel seat
