I use to buy huge mega bulk packs of them and felt bad every time I would throw them away into the landfill. I decided to test out the recharagle batteries since they have gotten much cheaper. I am going to stay with recharging for my heavy use applications, but do see throw aways as a good alternative still. This device only charges 4 at a time which is one application really which I can see being annoying over time. I do like the LCD screen to know how the charging is progressing however and like that it has the overcharge protection. I may need to get another charger since this doesn’t handle C or D batteries which a lot of kid toys use and are expensive. Overall I would recommend this to anyone who needs to charge up to 4 at a time and only AA or AAA.

I am a photographer and I’m constantly recharging batteries for my hotshoe flash, wireless transmitters, etc. This charger does a great job, charges at a good speed. It gives me detailed info on each single battery such as strength, charge percentage/progress, voltage, timestamp, etc. Nice clear LCD display, well made. Glad I can use it efficiently for both my AA’s & AAA’s.

I think it is so cool how this battery charger is fully adjustable to the size of the battery. Every other charger I've had and that I've eventually broke was so difficult to use for different sizes and I could never do two sizes at once. The large, information screen is great - especially with an impatient toddler begging for new toy batteries does well with visuals.

It's a great charger. It's fully automatic. Not much you need than just put the batteries in. You can't force charge severely discharged batteries, it won't detect it. Also, there are no D size slots.

Charges all cylindrical batteries without having to change anything. Very quick charging. Just wish it did 9v.

This charger doesn't give a accurate battery capacity reading. It will not charge a 18650 lithium ion battery that is below 1.5v. The Automatic detection does function well. Well not let you manually sent a charge battery type for batteries that have been drained to low.

14250's are too short to make contact with both + and -... I'm sure this isn't supported but it worked just fine when I added 4 nickels to the + side :) Recognized a 3.7v 14250 and charged it fine.I still haven't figured out the button press pattern for the different charging modes but trial/error should do it. The instructions are a translation.
