I bought these on recommendation to extend my SVS Prime Satellites out from the walls and to be able to angle them. The SVS Primes weigh 6.5lb each, and I ended up using the shorter connection, mounted on the wall. Although there appears to be a little give at the ball connector once they are in and the speakers are mounted that shouldn't be an issue unless you are intending on swinging on them. For those of us who put them up and leave them alone they look likely to stay in the same position until you decide to remove them. They are unobtrusive, easy to install (make sure you have the right drill bits if you are mounting into brick or concrete though) and surprisingly cheap - although I had to pay almost as much again in shipping and import taxes. I probably could have gotten something similiar from a UK retailer, but these were recommended by someone who already had SVS satellites on them, so I figured it was worth it. Overall, a good mount, takes the weight fine, worth considering if you're looking for an unobtrusive mount with a bit of adjustment ability for speaker direction.
