FTE 12' Hanging Lantern Cord with On/Off Switch

Easy to install for our hanging lamp. I love the length of the cord and I like how it is made well but for a cheaper price than most. I would highly recommend. I am back to buy a couple more for our home and haven't even bought the shades yet, lol.

The following is what I hoped it would be, and what it is:It is a 12-foot-long electric cord with a light fixture at one end and a plug at the other.In the very middle (the 6-foot point) is a rotation switch made of plastic, similar to the attached picture.Any regular light bulb for a regular lamp in the U.S. screws into the fixture, and the plug fits into any regular U.S. two-prong wall outlet. The switch turns on the light bulb according to the bulb’s specs.It is such a such a simple concept, and although I could see it in my mind’s eye, I had a hard time finding it. If you ever have threatened to “make it (anything) into a lamp, someday...” this product does it immediately, with no labor more than "screwing in a light bulb."The power cord is soft, rubbery, and much more maleable than the hard plastic-like cords of cheap power cables. It feels good to the touch.The fixture itself is not ceramic, but a very ceramic-like hard plastic, that is so hard the threads for the bulb are in the plastic itself -- not a separate threaded copper bulb screw-in port. The copper used is minimal -- for the electric terminals to conduct electricity. This passes the cheaper plastic price of the materials onto us, at no aesthetic cost in my opinion.It all seems well-designed and well-engineered, and I do not think it will break or wear out­­.In short, it is what I thought it would be, from the picture.If you are like me, you may be saying, “Big deal. I knew all that from the picture,” although we Amazon shoppers know that we cannot assume anything from a picture, nor assume our hopes of what it will be are to be trusted. We need it all stated in English, or we might suffer the dread “Return or replace items” button.I sometimes write a review of products I like or hate, to show either appreciation or caveat emptor, and to try to help other shoppers, who also help me with emptoris sciens (buyer knowledge).

These are okay... I ordered two and only one of them worked. They also sent me two different ones with different switches. One was a simple on off switch, and the other was one of the ones you spin the little wheel until it clicks on and off. They work fine but I was disappointed one didn't work at all.

I use it with my UV light bulb  LSE Lighting CFL15/UV/MED 120V 15W E26 Compact Germicidal Bulb to disinfect my dishwasher, laundry washer, bathrooms, all rooms, shoes, and closets. The cord works great although having the switch in the middle vice at the plug end makes it more challenging to turn it on and off, but a good cord none the less

I use this for hanging a grow light over some plants in my office. It has a sleek minimalist look, it works and it's reasonably priced.

Love this. Bought 2 to use in tent when camping. We hook it to the top of tent inside and run an outside extension cord into tent. Works great.Gave one to my daughter to use in their tent.

I love how long the cord is, it can reach all of the outlets near it. Came in 2 days and was easy to set up with the lantern
