Tuna Fish is right
Okay, he couldn't have been...must have been one of those European-made pianos with non-standard-sized pegs.No. He's right. This tuner doesn't fit: loose on some pegs, not even close on others. From looking at the star head, it appears that some of the points are rounded off while others aren't; this may be why the tuner fits on some pegs and not others, depending on their orientation. The wooden handle was also split two inches back from the ferrule. All around, this is not a well made tool and I would not recommend that you take a chance on it.On the other hand, the merchant, WWBW, is outstanding and very helpful. Their handling of my complaint was above reproach. I will do business with them in the future.UPDATE: I exchanged this tuner for a square-ended one. It works acceptably, but still slips some on a few of the pegs. I won't complain, however, since the square-end hammer does get the job done.

Tuning Wrench
What a piece of junk! The wrench doesn't fit any piano made in the last 100 years. It is made of pot metal and is apparently designed to fail and is not tapered to turn tuning pegs. When I contacted a professional piano tool supplier, their remark was "I can't believe someone is still selling Grover wrenches!" Don't waste your time and money with this one.

poor quality and too large
Should have looked at the reviews! Tool did not fit, it was too large for the pegs. The company delivered in a timely manner.

Absolute Junk and Dangerous
This junk is not to be confused with Grover's otherwise quality products. It is, as far as I can tell, a "Trophy" being sold with Grover's name. It is so sloppy on Heintzman upright tuning pegs as I can indeed see it binding on the pegs, damaging the pegs and stripping out really fast. Back to the store it goes. Stay away from this sad piece of junk.

reviews are accurate
I thought I bought the wrong size, but looking at reviews, I think it plain doesn't work. The hammer would grip some pegs, but not others. I got mine off ebay. Dealers are trying to pass them off. Avoid at all costs.

Not standard size
This tuning hammer is not standard size. It does not fit the normal 1/4" tapered tuning pins. It may fit some piano, but I don't know which kind.
