DMCPearl Cotton Skein Size 3 16.4yd, Black

This is, as it is described, an embroidery floss length package that can be used for a very small needlepoint project. You could perhaps crochet one small granny square or motive, or use it for one color in one. It is half the size of one "Bon Bon". I would compare price to Lion Brand 100% Cotton Bon Bons first (on those check the material, some packages are cotton and some are acrylic. As of this writing, for cotton you want the color schemes Beach or Nature.) . I paid less than $2.00 for this color as an " add-on" which is okay I guess, but not the bargain I thought I was getting as I was expecting more. Because I can see now it does give the length, and the yarn itself is excellent, I cannot in honesty give it one or two stars. Because I have little experience looking at weights and sizes of yarn online, ( I used to just buy in stores where I can see how big it is) and because I looked at so many brands, it was my mistake. I am writing this so you make an informed choice.

I would like to give this one star, because I am so disappointed at the amount. But looking at the page now I can see that it is clearly posted. I was looking at so many brands, trying to find what I wanted I got confused. I am writing this so others know what they are buying. This is enough for about one granny square, or half the size of one "Bon Bon", for the price of eight of them. However, because the yarn itself is excellent I don't feel it would be honest to give it few stars. If you are very wealthy and can spend $500.00 on yarn for a baby blanket I highly recommend it. I just want you to be able to make an informed decision.

I do our family crest on sweatshirts using counted cross stitch and waste cloth. My mom is one of 15 children and she and each of her siblings received one, as well as other relatives. Not sure how many I’ve done, but it’s more than 30.

I use DMC to needlepoint pictures for display. Many colors. Consistent colors. Colorfast. Easy to work with. Delivery from vendor was timely.

This cotton thread has a good sheen and works well. I made an error in ordering, I wanted size 8 not 3 but because itlooks and feels nice, I decided to keep all the threads I ordered.
