Very Mobile - Worldwide reading
We order this to take back to Jakarta which is having a really bad spell with population. The Egg works really well and very accurate although very sad to read how bad the pollution is here. However on a positive note the egg is very mobile not only in your house but also when you travel.

Accurate and clear, but poor online connection
Update: I removed another star from my rating because the device keeps losing its online connection.I chose the Laser Egg over its rivals because it works both with and without a wifi connection, it uses a laser to super accurately measure particulates (both PM10 and PM2.5), it has a nice, clear display and it has a battery, so you can easily move it around and outside to see how the air quality changes. I also like how easy it is to get a spreadsheet download of previous readings sent to your phone or computer so you can see what happened in more detail, if you like that sort of thing. It tells me when particulates are high with a clear onscreen alert, so I know to switch on my air purifier, and I can then see the particulate count drop in real time. I didn't test the function to switch on my air purifier automatically because my air purifier will only switch on if you manually press a button on it, but I imagine that would be really useful if you have an air purifier that can be switched on directly from the power socket. It also tells me when VOC chemicals are high, like when I used acetone to remove my nail polish it went through the roof (who knew!) So I know to open a window. And the app tells me what pollution is like outside, so I know if it's better for me to switch on the kitchen extractor fan rather than open a window. All super clear and easy to follow. The app is a bit quirky, but works just fine. Once I got used to it, I like being able to see results from the device when I am in another room. There are two big downsides: (1) the device hides its readings of PM10s (small particles like pollen fragments and small dust particles), and (2) the online functionality keeps dropping out.(1) Although the device measures PM10s, it's frustratingly hard to monitor them explicitly. This is a big problem if, like me, you get hayfever from dust or pollen. Both the laser egg and the app clearly displays PM2.5s and an overall air quality measure, but frustratingly you can only work out PM10s by subtracting PM2.5s from the total air quality index, or by downloading the data into a spreadsheet, which is a pain in the neck.(2) The online connection keeps disappearing for several hours at a time - it's happened 4 times over the past two weeks. When this happens, you can still get live readings, but the historical graphs just show zero pollution and zero temperature for several hours at a time, which is super unhelpful. I can't tell if this is a problem with the device or with the network and servers of the manufacturer. Please Kaiterra, fix your intermittent online function consider adding a clear, separate PM10 index to both the laser egg device and to the app. If you do this then I'll come back and add two more stars to this review.

Pretty Good But Could Be Improved
I've bought this device a few months ago and I'm really liking it! Gives accurate reading and it's very easy to use. The only issue I have is that the battery doesnt last long. As such, I keep it plugged in 24/7. Not how how good that is, though I occasionally take it out and keep the deviced switched off to "rest"

Not accurate anymore
The device worked well to begin with. Now it constantly shows max level TVOCs despite nothing changing in the home.

Excellent good value air quality monitor
This little device gives Pm2.5 readings which correlate closely with those of my nearest monitoring station, so I’m very pleased with it.

Simple and easy to Use - if depressing results!
Just started with the Kaiterra Laser Egg - it provides a range of measurements from temperature and humidity through PM2.5 (small particulates) TVOC (Volatile Organic Compounds) and overall Air Quality Index. Fairly easy to set up with the App I've tried it in two locations - one, rural, where the Air Quality Index was good, the other in a big city where pollution was high (Started at 157 because of high PM2) - but its also provided useful learning - like shutting the room door and running the air filter saw results improve quite quickly. So while there is not much you can do about exterior pollution there are things you can do inside your own home to mitigate levels.

Bulky for portability
Price is a factor and there are several smaller longer life battery models

Pm2.5 is interesting. Tvoc is oversensitive or I should die soon.
Pm2.5 values started as high as expected since I live pretty close to major highway and then went down to zero-one values. Customer support answered all my questions but either I am super lucky to have this clear air in my home while living 10 meters to highway or this device is acting weird. I don’t have any other device to compare.Tvoc readings make you crazy. Only way to reduce it is just keeping windows open. I am not blaming it, just it could be over sensitive.
