IRON COMMANDER Ferris Wheel Toy Metal Building Set,Ferris Wheel Model Kits with Metal Beams and Screws Lights & Music 954pcs

I bought this for my 6 year old who does fairly complicated LEGO projects. His first erector set and it was frustrating at first learning how to use the tools to tighten the nut and bolts but he spent about 7 consecutive hours working on it. We had to stop and put 4 more in the next day. I don’t know whether to give the set a 3 or 4 star rating because of the cons.Pros:-great STEMA project. I found that many teachable moments with my son. Lots of troubleshooting and investigation.-the instructions were easy enough to read but I would recommend parent supervision with ages 6-9. They will need help with some steps.- he enjoys putting his LEGO men on the Ferris wheel. He thinks it’s cool.Cons:-The gears were not touching which resultEd in the wheel not spinning. We had to cut a circular hole into a slotted hole with a grinder so we could move the gear box up. We also removed some of the spacers as well.-The Ferris wheel light barely worked. Turned off room lights and you could not really see it.-Some of the chairs get stuck upside down when going around . They were first getting stuck in the decorations then we took those off and then because of shifting they would get stuck on bolts.

I bought this and the iron commander carousel at the same time. Built the other model first. The ferris wheel is the superior model. It is much easier to build. Much more solid when built. It also lacks many of the tedious annoyances of the carousel, such as many bolt sizes and slotted holes or stickers. This kit is mostly 1 size of bolt length and none of the holes are slotted so it all fits together right the first time.If you are looking for an erector set style toy that is a single model then this is the one to buy. The instructions are ALL pictures. No poorly translated words. Look closely at the pictures and make the parts in your hand match the pictures. It is really that easy.

Very interesting but time consuming constructor. It definitely needs attention from adults as some details are really hard to see. However very interesting toy with music and light. I suggest to put more screws as some of sizes has just 2 and 2 are needed. No chance to make a mistake.

This was purchased as a Christmas gift for someone who lives alone & enjoys tinkering. I bought it because I believe it really is for adults with so many pcs. I believe 954. Shipment was prompt & secure. My Brother said it was easy, all pieces were there & all fit, it truly runs & has music. He said it was fun. I have photo but don't know how to forward from my e-mail. He likes it.

I enjoyed putting this together with my two sons. It allowed several sessions of good quality time.

My grandson LOOOOOVED this gift, He opened it right away and put it together in about 1 hour.
