I bought this book for a college my American Popular Music class. It has a lot of information about how different genres of music gave birth to new genres since the turn of the 20th century. I discovered some new artists that I have put on my iPod.

I needed this book for my music class. It is a good book. Very informative, but the author uses information that I believe is personal opinion in some of it rather than facts.

It is a really good and informative book. I enjoy what I am learning. It is pretty clear and concise at getting across the points and transitioning into the next topic.

This book is used beyond expectation. It had several marks in it but should be good enough for the class.

A vey frustrating book, I WANT MY MONEY BCK!!! the Author offers a website with timelines that do not exist, he offers a a listening list in itunes that does not exist, his discussion is simplistic and ignorant, Please DO NOT BUY THIS BOOK it promotes ignorance

Although I was saddened by all the textbooks I had to buy this semester, I was happy that the positive aspect of a fast shipping book cheered me up.
