Need to order another one Loan this to a friend before I got to see it never got it back never got to see it but loved the movie when I saw it first time on TV

Ordered and got it because I like the Lead actor singer legend. U believe it is a nice movie to add to any movie collection.

A very romantic movie! Great for girls night!!

I literally fell in love with this movie and the man just as I hit puberty. When I was a little older, haunted by the tenor's rendition of 'If We Were in Love', I tried to find my own copy but couldn't--at first no one was selling it on vhs or dvd and then the only versions available were from overseas and too pricey. I might have bought one of the copies, but I couldn't be sure it was gonna be worth the cost. No one was selling the CD featuring Pavarotti singing the song either. Frustrated, I purchased a compilation disc that featured John Williams' instrumental of the song. Absolutely beautiful and worth finding and buying. One late night about 15 years ago while doing a random Hail Mary search on Amazon, I found an original poster announcing the release of the film and bought it from a seller from Australia. That was nice. I had it framed and hung it in my bathroom. But I still longed for the film; for the love story that seemed so tragic and hopeless at 14, for that final scene where Pamela leaves him at the climax of Nessun Dorma and he weeps--whew! Good stuff. And then, while doing another random, seemingly futile search on Amazon, the video popped up! It was like a choir from above singing the most exquisite note and childhood Christmas converging simultaneously. I screamed, did a quick dance and clicked the purchase button. It came to my doorstep quick. I waited till I could watch it late night, alone in my living room. The decades of waiting was worth it. In fact, now that I'm all grown up the story has meaning and a poignancy my 14 year-old heart, and inexperience had not grasped. Every song is as amazing as the first time. The Tenor was not gonna get an Oscar for his efforts, but I would like to think he had a ball making the feature, his first I think.

I watched this movie as a teen, and loved it. I was thrilled to see it was available for rent or purchase. So many great performers are in this... Funny, cute, well written and makes you feel good watching it!

I put off buying this DVD after the dismal movies Elvis Presley made. I didn't want to erode my liking of Pavarotti; however, the music was sensational, the scenery beautiful and Pavarotti was adorable playing a parody of himself. It is such a treasure since he didn't get caught up in the Hollywood scene and we get to see him in his playful self. I thought he did a good job for not being a professional actor. Loved it!!

This is a charming movie with a simple story of a married Italian opera singer and the lovely American doctor who treats his laryngitis but resists becoming enchanted with him. It’s mainly a showcase for the great Luciano Pavarotti, climaxing a bittersweet scene in Puccini’s opera “Turandot,” and hisbreathtaking rendition of “Nessun dorma,” which justly become Pavorotti’s signature piece. I would rent or purchase this film merely to play and replay his performance here, every bit as fine as his 1994 solo as one of the Three Tenors. Opera fan or not, make yourself a hot drink, curl up with your cat and enjoy this sweet story and beautiful music.

I loved this movie. Don't expect great acting but for his first and only Holloywood movie Pavarotti did a great job. I say Hollywood movie because I don't onow if he did any Italian movies. It's wacky, it's funny, at times serious and then the rest seriously funny! The singing.....well it's Pavarotti!I was 22 when this movie was released and this was my introduction to Pavarotti. It made me a life long fan. So when I found this movie on Amazon... I bought two. One to loan to friends and one to never loan to friends. I need to buy another loaner copy, oh well, so maybe I'll buy a few more loner copies A must have for Pavarotti fans or those not yet a fan. You will enjoy it!
