So you FLUNKED the Series 7 exam?
T**.
Options WERE my Horror Movie until this book!
As "one of those" who had taken the Series 7 multiple times all coming within 5 to 8 questions of receiving the grade to pass, I thought I would never get the topic that I knew was making the diff. btwn achieving a PASS and a FAIL. Because the 7, especially the NEW Series 7 Top Off Exam, is 30% plus consisting of options questions in almost every format and combination possible, someone like me, who just could not see what was being asked, would have either been bound to keep taking until some day passing (who wants that continued stress of study times and defeat) OR I decided I needed a better way to understand options and their relation to what the test wanted me to know. I came across this book/manual and I am so, so, so glad I did. Wow! This morning I took my test again and went in so much more confident and after 3 hours, got a PASS on my printout! And I will shout it out to all reading this, you simply can't go wrong with the way Mark breaks everything down in easy to understand format so that when you sit down for your exam, you simply have a chart that you can match to the question(s) being asked! If you struggle with options, spreads, Bull vs. Bear combo's in diff. situations, calculations with strike pricing, etc., you NEED this book as the BEST complement to your test prep material.I also want to thank the author for taking his valuable time to actually speak with me when I came across something in his book that I was confused with. It's very evident that he WANTS you to pass just as much as you do! Thanks again Mark! You ARE a genius my friend.

This was a complete waste of time and money.
This was a complete waste of time and money. The ONLY thing covered in this 52 page book, cover to cover, were the formulas. That's great if you haven't studied at all or have not yet taken the Series 7. The book does not include how to actually calculate a single option question outside of the MG, ML, and BE, which, in my personal experience, is the majority of questions asked on the Series 7. Does not include how to do T-Charts, either, which will help you calculate literally anything besides the basic formulas. 40 of the pages are the exact same thing, over and over. This book was not helpful in any way, shape or form. $55 and less than an hour of my time down the drain. On the section about hedging formulas, this guy made things 20x more confusing than they need to be and hedging formulas do, in fact, mirror each other. The "sprice" (short price of stock), "cost" (which the S7 has NEVER mentioned once in my two attempts), and stock price are literally the same thing but the author wants to give you random, new formulas and say you need to remember which is which, which you don't at all. If I hadn't have taken the Series 7 twice and known for myself that those are ridiculous and confusing statements, it would've made things even harder than they already are. I cannot believe this was recommended to me; Google is more useful.

Good, but keep in mind, it only helps with one topic in the test.
I did use the chart on my data dump sheet and it was absolutely helpful. The only thing I can say though is that I did not have a lot of options questions in my test. This chart is absolutely amazing for options.... but FINRA is really focusing on suitability. This book would be 5 star if there was something in here to help with suitability and tax questions.I have a feeling though, this book will be really useful for the Series 9 (which I'm planning to take next year), so I definitely recommend it.

So Thankful I Came Across This
I came across this on youtube and decided to purchase it. I hadn't taken my Series 7 yet but was a week away. I can say without any doubt that this book is the only reason I passed. I recommend it even if you haven't flunked the test, It really helped me understand options and broke everything down

You will pass
I was you. I was looking for answers after I failed the first time on the series 7. This book gave me direction when I was lost. It gave me a starting point the second time around. It will help you conquer the most confusing portion of the exam in options. This book does exactly as it describes, it will teach you how to conquer the options portion of the exam. It claims nothing more. Yes the exam these days focuses on munis and suitably, but those portions are honestly pretty simple. Once I was able to understand the most difficult topic, I knew I could understand everything, and I did. Mark, the author, will also answer questions you have via Facebook. Read your materials, take as many practice tests as you can, and read So You Flunked The Series 7.

$50 for essentially a magazine is pretty steep. Also pretty disappointing that it ONLY focuses on options. The Series 7 is way more heavily weighted on muni bonds and suitability, I took the exam 2 weeks ago and can attest to that. Overall, pretty disappointed in this.

Not seeing how this is worth $57. Thought it would be an outline of all materials but only covers multiple options transactions and is as thin as a magazine. If you really don't understand options this may be helpful but all of the information can be found online anyway.

If you need help with options, get this book.
Even if you haven't flunked your first time around, consider getting this book. It makes the options questions stupid easy, almost to the point where you don't have to think at all. Allows you to concentrate your study efforts towards other topics and takes some weight off your shoulders.
