Starworld

This story is very much real life: It hurts! But you will be richer in your own life from the experience! There are so many sub-stories going on—amazing to see them all fall into place. And Starworld perfectly ties it all together. Sam and Zoe are so damaged, each in her own way. Amazing that they came together just at the right time. This is not a predictable story, and therefore it is superb entertainment. Sometimes I would pause just so I could try to imagine how a particular part of the story would develop or resolve. That is true joy in reading. The writing is beautiful, such as this: “I stare out the window and dream about worlds made of stardust—of Zoe with a crown of stars, queen of a much less complicated universe. One in which messes can be wished away and where the possibilities are as innumerable as the stars.” You will love this story. I did.

This book was hard to put down. I loved the main characters and I was invested in their stories early on. Their voices were really believable and rang true for my experiences with my own teenager. I will read this more than once; it was so good.I'm an adult who loves YA; this book is good for middle school and up.

This is an amazing story, full of heartwarming moments, realistic emotions, devastating heartbreak, and, ultimately, honest friendship and love that leads to healing. I literally couldn't put it down and was moved to tears on several occasions during the story. Tears of sadness and tears because of how beautiful the words and emotions of the scene were. Highly recommended is an understatement.

Fun

High school is hard. The two heroines, and they are, form a friendship warms the heart. True to life, this book captures the difficulty of being young and different.

What a fantastic read! I cackled, I cringed, I cared, I cried. I'll definitely be coming back to this one for rereads.

This book hit so close to home. Everything about the friendship that develops, the feelings, the heartbreak they both experience, the way they each change each others' lives... I couldn't put the book down. I cried a lot, but it was a mix of happy and sad and nostalgic tears. I loved this book so much.

I do like to think I give different kinds of books chances to hook me but this story just fell short every time.

Im Kunstunterricht bemerkt Zoe Miller ein Bild, gemalt von ihrer unscheinbaren Mitschülerin Sam Jones. Sam ist Zoe bisher nie aufgefallen, das Bild hinterließ jedoch einen bleibenden Eindruck. Die beiden treten in Kontakt und auf magische Weise und durch ein wenig Zufall, entwickelt sich zwischen den beiden jungen Frauen eine besondere Beziehung. Der Schreibstil überrascht mit seinen einfachen und doch tiefgehenden Worten. Das Buch fesselt und lässt das Lesen sehr emotional werden.
