Solar Panel Adapter Cable to DC 5.5mm x 2.1mm - Universal Charge Adapter Connector for All Power Solar Panel and Portable Solar Generator Inverter

The item arrived in a day and when I pulled it from the box, I was amazed at the thickness of the gauge of the wires. These are heavy duty at a light price. Will definitely grab a few more of these for my solar generators.

Before you start cutting and splicing realize that it works fine the way it is. That is because although the positive and negative mc4 connectors seem to be reversed, they also reversed the opposite ends at the Barrell connection. So i worked fine for me.. charging and no issues. Check to make sure that is the case, but thanks to another review, I figured it out and was able to use it.

I purchased this cable to use with a very powerful solar panel (48 volt, 315 watt). I had a more expensive one and it was too weak to have been able to deal with such strong current. I'm not someone who leaves feedback for products, good or bad, but this 5.5mm x 2.1mm mc4 cable really exceed my expectations. It's cheap and strong and long (over 6ft long).

I ordered the VTOMAN Jump 1800 and wanted to use it with my Renogy solar panels. This MC4 to 5521 cable works great. Decent length cable and tight fitting plugs all-round, full current coming in from my panels.

Great extra connection option for solar panel

As others have mentioned, the polarity of this cable is REVERSED. The red wire (positive) is connected to the outside of the barrel connector, and the black wire (negative) is connected to the center of the barrel connector, which is the reverse of how it should be wired in most cases. I am not aware of any application for this reversed-polarity design, so as far as I am concerned, this is a defective cable! Instead of returning, I opted to cut and spice the wires back into the correct polarity.

Works flawless, it does what is suppose to do, just snapped it with your panels cables and you are ready to go. Great value for the money

Feels sturdy, but I'm unable to use as the positive and negative recepticles were reversed for my solar panel.I'll update the review if I purchase some solar that needs it.
