Great read even if you're not a runner
As a runner, I found this book funny, quirky and a bit inspiring. Like the author, I keep going and challenging myself, just not down a crazy hill for cheese....😊

Enjoyably refreshing and relatable read!
Witty, funny, real and relatable for those of us that struggle with considering ourselves a ‘real runner’. Thank you, Susan, for confirming we all are as real as we can be and we belong to a wonderfully supportive club of awesome people! The memories we experience along the way are a huge part of the ‘why’ in our journey of running. 🏃♀️💪👍

Fun and inspiring read
I really enjoyed this quick read documenting some of the obscure races and events that are held throughout the world. I laughed, I cried and I was 100% re-inspired to stick with my own personal fitness goals that I am currently working towards. I will definitely keep this in my rotation if I need a little kick-in-the-pants or want to vicariously experience one of Susan's gutsy adventures once more.

Not your typical running book, but so much better
As someone who loves to run, but is not competitive I could definitely relate to Susan’s stories of feeling like a fraud and an outsider. This book was such a great reminder that running is so much more than just races and PR’s. Running is about the experience, the journey, and the people from the many different backgrounds that make up the truly wonderful running community.Susan has a gift for writing and I found myself both laughing and tearing up at times. She knows how to tell a story and connect with her audience. I hope to see more books from her in the future.

Fun read
The book itself was fun. Beyond the cute factor no real advice to a runner. A nice read if you need a mind break from heavier material.

A delightful read
A funny and heart felt look at some of the more wacky races in the world. They are not so much about winning as they are about the human experience. These events bond people together and help to define the places where they are held. You will feel the joy as you read, and you just might find yourself wanting to register for a race outside your comfort zone!

Perfect for all of us (self) questionable real runners.
I want to say upfront that Susan is hilarious and touching and my spirit animal.Although I have been running for going on 30 years, I immediately identified with Susan's anxiety of not fitting in amongst the running community. This book renewed my love for running and reminded me exactly why I do it...and why I should do it more!As usual, she had me laughing and crying throughout the book, which was exactly what I needed.

Relatable and Inspirational (and funny!) book about running
I read this book cover to cover in one day. It really resonated with me, as someone who is not a “natural” runner. Susan reminds us that if you are out there putting one foot in front of the other, you ARE a runner. The book is full of humor and levity, and was just what I needed. Highly recommend for ALL runners to read this book!
