Piece of cake!
This was my first time installing a garage door opener. I have a two bay garage, and the original openers were Genie belt driven units installed 30 years ago. One opener was replaced shortly before we bought the house 3 years ago with a chain drive Chamberlain. I don't have any real complaints about the Chamberlain except it was noticeably noisier than the old Genie in the other bay. So, when the remaining Genie finally died, I immediately checked out Chamberlain and Genie openers because I wanted to do the job myself and save $$$. Overhead Door and Genie are both the sameEven though my doors are only 7'x 9', I wanted a 3/4hp unit to ensure minimum stress on the motor. When I saw the Mighty Mule, I was impressed by the many features for the low price, AND by the fact it is manufactured in the USA! As far as I can tell from a bit of research, the Genie and Overhead Door brands are manufactured in Ohio, which is good, but I didn't want to pay the higher price. And Chamberlain, Liftmaster and Raynor brands (all the same company) appear to have their manufacturing split between the US and Mexico, but priced at least as much or more as the Mighty Mule when compared feature for feature. Chamberlain also makes Craftsman openers, but that brand is on shaky ground at this point. I briefly checked a couple of other manufacturers but after seeing too many bad reviews, I quickly ruled them out.Even though I saw no Might Mule reviews here, I did find some on other sites, and they were positive enough that I decided to take a chance on the Mighty mule.It arrived well packaged and undamaged. The instructions were simple and easy to follow. All the parts were packaged very well. The nuts, bolts, pins, and various pieces of hardware were all included with nothing missing. Everything seemed well made and very good quality. Installation was a breeze and everything went together very smoothly despite my lack of experience. It took about 3 hours start to finish. That included reading the instructions, programming the remotes and wireless keypad, and putting away my tools.Since it is new, I cannot yet comment on the long term reliability, but I can certainly tell you about the operation. It is extremely quiet, much quieter than the Chamberlain in the next bay and considerably quieter than the old Genie which it replaced. I have already recommended it to a friend who is building a garage and, when he saw it, he was absolutely amazed at the near silent operation.Overall, I am happy with my Mighty Mule MM9333H, and as per my habit, I will update this review if and when anything happens to change my opinion.

Quiet opener, but needs better engineering (or at least testing) on the wall switch
The Problematic: After install had trouble making it work consistently. Discovered that the wall switch spring return is too weak and it would consistently stick, causing the door to fail to function. Had to experiment with a series of sponges of various widths under the switch cover to get it to rebound correctly. Also note that if you live in a cold climate, you will want to be sure that the force adjustment is set to "high" or it will fail to fully close in very cold weather. We experienced that as well. The Good: Once I worked out those issues, the system has been perfect. It is VERY quiet compared to my old chain drive opener on the other door. Now that I have the one Mule working well, I will likely buy another to replace the noisy old one on that other door.

USA, very quiet, good warranty
When searching for garage door openers I, of course, researched the major brands like Chamberlain and Genie. Through my search I came upon the Mighty Mule. The characteristics that really caught my attention were its design, warranty and made in the USA. I decided to take a chance and replace my 1/2hp Camberlain with the Mighty Mule. First of all, it cam packages nicely with items in protective boxes. The parts were nicely labeled and the hardware was in individually labeled based based on their purpose i.e. the rail hardware in one bag, frame hardware in a bag, etc. The instructions are easy to follow and helpful. The sensors, wall pad, remotes and key pad are all a sleeker design than my old Chamberlain. Once everything was installed I began set up. Wow, what quite operation! The Mighty Mule is very quiet and easy to set up. The range of operation is set by pressing the learn the button and then running through operation to desired height and close then press learn again and wahala. The force is set automatically when run through 6 cycles. The remotes and home link are simple to set up also. I definitely recommend this garage door opener. It's operation and silence is very impressive. It seems easily capable in raising and lowering our 8'x16' door. Pros=made in USA, nice design, clearly labeled parts and most of all QUIET.

bad product! stay away
the worst garage door opener ever! I bought the opener from amazon and installed by amazon service, the opener is not working properly since then. 50%of the time the remote control can not open the garage door, the worst part ever, is that sometimes the garage door opener opens by itself .......at the midnight. BAD BAD BAD! I want to contact the amazon customer service ,return and refund for the money.update after half year of using.I finally figured that the wall power station is the thing that made the door up with no operation. You can not press the button too hard or the cover will stuck and mess the operation. After knowing this this is a good solid one.

Don't try and use your old wall control button.
Decent installation instructions. Took me about 5 hours to pull down my old opener and install this one. Putting this opener together was pretty easy- The hard part is cutting, adjusting and installing the brackets you attach the opener to. But you will have that issue with any unit. I reused the simple door bell style wall button and wiring that was already installed in my garage. That seemed to cause a lot of issues - flashing lights, error beeps, remotes not working. those problems seemed to go away once I replaced the old control with the new one that was included. The MM wall control does feel flimsy as others have said, but it is more complex than a simple push button control.
