Better than the Tesla Key Band
I bought this lanyard to replace an official Tesla Key Band for the Model X fob that I had bought about a year ago. The problem with the Tesla key band is that it loosed over time and the fob would just slip out of the band. TThis lanyard has a fairly thin string since for the Model X fob the lanyard has to be thin so that it can be clipped into the hole in the plastic. I can't say much about the durability of the string since I haven't had it long, but it seems sufficiently strong to me.I like this lanyard since it keeps my keys together in one small group, especially compared with the bundle when I as using the Tesla band, which seems bulky in comparison. btw this product is designed to fit the Tesla fobs with the clips (Model X,3,Y). If you need to loop the lanyard through itself, like on the Model S fob, the string is probably too short.

Works as intended...
It is odd and somewhat silly to have to purchase a specific item to be able to attach any key fob to a key chain, but that is poor Tesla design, not an issue with this item. I looked at videos online to see how to attach the Model 3 fob to a keychain and this is the type item recommended. They are typically seen on flash drives one can attach to a keychain. This one is reasonably priced and seems sturdy, so it is fine for its purpose.

Tesla Model 3 FOB works better without a metal or silicone cover on it. This solves that problem.
Tesla Model 3 FOB works better without a metal or silicone cover on it. Those covers interfere with the signal to the proximity sensor to get into your Tesla, and also put your Tesla into Drive, Neutral or Reverse. This keychain loop solves that problem.

Does what its supposed to
This item does exactly what you wanted to do, fits into your tesla key fob and gives you a good option to hold your keys. My main problem with this is that the product itself is not very durable. The keyring itself is flimsy and the little notched cord that goes into the fob is also not very durable. I can see others who have written about the same issue. I have had mine for several months now and it is still intact however I can tell by the build quality that it will not last too long. Unfortunately there are not a lot of other great options and this one will have to make do until someone build a better quality option.

Too Lightweight - Overall
Threading is too thin, even for its function it could have been thicker for more strength and still fit the tesla X keyfob. The ring itself is on the thin side for keychains. The little metal cylinder that connects both the string and the keyring is also so tiny that the hole for the keyring is not big enough to allow it to slide around the ring, so this makes the keyring stationary instead of rotatable. Not being rotatable makes the keyring much more annoying to put on keys (its whole function!). Overall low quality and I expect it to break soon. But at least they are making a solution to this problem. I could not believe that Tesla could not sell one of these with the new $170 keyfob that I bought to replace my lost one.

Ring with a string
It does the job, can be connected to the Tesla FOB but really is just a ring with a string, not a cable. Can't really find alternative so this is about the best way to go right now.
