The ornament is smaller than expected. You won't be able to write your pets name on top. It barely fits on the white top of stocking. It's very cute but I would've liked a larger one.

I've been looking for one with a gray cat on it, and it seems like there aren't many people carrying them. I collect ornaments based on adventures that I have gone on (everything is an adventure to me), so last year, when I got a cat just a few weeks before Christmas, a friend of mine found a gray cat ornament at a kiosk in the mall up in Pennsylvania. That cat had a baby just a few months later, so to continue the tradition, I needed a new ornament for him. I'm no longer in Pennsylvania, and even though that friend sent me a picture of the new ornament they have this year, it just wasn't what I wanted. I found this one on here on Amazon and knew I had to have it. It's super cute - even better than the picture shows. It's made of a porcelain material, so is smooth, and easily personalizable yourself - we wrote my cat's name and the year on the top of the stocking in Sharpie.

As one other customer has noted, this item is more customiz-able than customized. Item came as described, very cute, and matches our gray cat with black nose, which is hard to find. But they made a mistake with the misleading marketing. They could have stuck with a bullet point noting that there is space to add your cat's name in your own style if desired. Unless they want to include a permanent marker in a choice of colors or the option to request the addition of text, they really shouldn't call this item customized. Can't complain too much, tho, since it was only about $10. Still 4 stars for me.

It's a beautiful little ornament that I could easily personalize on both the front and the back.
