MGM Switchview Leupold Mark IV with Illuminated Reticle Lever, Black

They are pricy for what they are, but when this is the only source for them, you'll pay it. It works well and saves time and fingers, especially while staying on target.

2 stars are fitting for these reasons. Arguably the MGM Switchview is overpriced, not worth the price they sell for. Model 1490SV2 was designed to fit multiple scope brands, and will attach to Leupold VXR Patrol 1.25-4x20 illuminated reticle scopes but definitely lacks a precision fit thus gaps exist around the indexing spaces and has bulbous appearance, the securing screw is small and fragile and the sloppy fit requires effort to get it to sit straight and the clamp halves do not completely clamp closed. See photos! Appreciate American made products but if consumers are paying a premium for these optic devices precision machining and fit is imperative. Without design improvements would not buy again.

I'd give this 4 stars. I think the 2 bolts holding the halves together could've been bigger for ruggedness sake but other than that an awesome product.

Light weight and works well

This was the perfect scope addition for my needs. I mounted this on my Leupold IV scope. Once I figured out the correct clocking I needed for full variable magnification (1-5X) I mounted it up. I played with it a couple of days and found it to be loose. I think that was just the metal and screw settings settling in. I took out one screw at time and put (removable) Loctite on them. Perfect, not a problem since and it works beautifully.

This product makes changing power level fast and easy! Well designed and built. Seems tough enough to handle many roles from target to tactical! Design i thought is clever using only one screw. I would highly recommend this item.

The MGM Switchview is an awesome addition to the Leupold VX-R Patrol on my SigSauer M400. Never take your eye away from the target and change the magnification with ease. This device would be a must for three-gun competitors for sure. Pricey but then again "this is my rifle"... It's worth it.

It's expensive, took me a while to pull the trigger on getting one, but this is a must for any adjustable scope. Received the one with hinge on one side and screw on the other.
