Grace Start-Right EZ3 No-Baste Hand Quilting Frame

Amazing piece of engineering. I'm the hubby who put it together. Review is about that.1. Take your time. 2. Very very well written manual but this beauty has lots of hardware and pieces. Take it step by step and make sure you have each step right. 3. Make sure you have all the pieces before you start..mine did. If not, then call 800 number provided. 4. Take your time...I took me about 1 1/2 days...lots of bolts and hardware that goes a certain way. Once you get it put together pat yourself on your back then turn it over to the quilter...I'm not.It's a beautiful machine. Good luck.

This quilting frame is just as I imagined. Reviews had me ready for a fight, but assembly wasn't hard at all. It took my husband and myself about 3 hrs.I'm looking forward to using it, just as soon as I get my next quilt top finished

Beautiful frame, functions well, great tension, however it is very flimsy. disappointed with the wobbling of the frame as a whole. due to single leg construction developed bowed legs and leans side to side. Grace Company suggested I lean it up against a wall!

Love the frame. It took a bit to get it put together. Better instructions may have helped. Really enjoy how well it holds the fabric sandwich.

I love this frame and I am sad the company is only making frames for long arms. It is very enjoyable to use and YES it takes up space but I have the room for it. We added a support between the legs as I do mostly large quilts. Yes it did sag without the support we made when fully extended but now very sturdy. If you wish to make it smaller simply remove the support we made and adjust it smaller. I don't think a support is needed when it is in the smaller size. I love that I don't have to hand baste anymore. 5 stars for this frame!!!!!!

My husband bought this for me a little over a year ago. I have decided I'm not a fan of this frame. I have it in the longest setting. I mostly make large-ish quilts. The poles seem to have a sag in them. It's very light weight. With that being said, I feel like I need to be gentle with it or it will break. The poles are very flimsy and disappointing that they now have a permanent sag in them. I have kicked my toes on the legs/feet more times than I would care to admit. They stick out quite a bit and you really need a dedicated space for this large frame. It's very big and feels cheaply made. If you really enjoy hand quilting and have plent of space with a limited budget. It works. I enjoy hand quilting. But not when I have to be confined to a chair in a room away from the family. I find it's more enjoyable to use the frame to put the quilt sandwhich together. Take it off the frame and sit on the couch to quilt. Just my opinion.

This quilting frame was the worst thing i have ever tried to put together in my life took me 3 attempts and i had nothing but confusion i had to hire someone to do it for me and once it was together it is wobbly and hard to manage using nothing as the information described i would not recommend it nor would i try to buy it again and actually if i had it to do over i would not have bought it . Be aware i try hard to NEVER leave a bad review on anything i buy reguardless if i like it or not i have a choice of buying things or not buying them and if i buy a bad item it is my fault but this item should'nt be hard to put together not to use it should have been as it was described and therefor not MY fault this time so beware buyers.

I use this almost daily. It is very sturdy. Easy to put together. Collapsed to put away easily.
